well theres a couple like Grand prix legends which hardly gets used and i think a GTR sub cat would get used lots like the live for speed sub cat does.

also it one of the best racing sims if the not the best laying alongside gran turismo or something.

ive made a poll so hopefully the mods will listen to our choice and will/wont make a sub-cat for GTR

Perhaps replace the existing F12000/2002 one since it's not been posted in since July. But with so many mods and GPL out and GTR2 in the works I think it's big enough for it's own little forum although I'm hapy either way.

Perhaps asking would work with the moderators better than implying a democracy should be the rule on the subject.

Mods listen to reason more than polls. ;)

To be honest I don't think it needs its own forum. There are only a few threads to do with the game (not including the several locked ones you made...), so I don't think it needs its own section at all. Maybe if there were more threads made and more overall interest in the game it would deserve its own forum. Look, the main GTR thread hadn't been posted in in a while until yesterday.

Using that logic we should make a sub forum for threads about making sub forums :D.
 
Ha ha, nice one VIPERGTSR01.

The creation and deletion of sub-fora is something that is part of the continual assessment of the status of GTPlanet. The fact that a specific sub-forum has not been created is evidence of the fact that the reassessment program has not deemed that there is a need for it.

By all means ask, but the staff here are dedicated to doing what's best for GTP, and that may or may not preclude the incorporation of your specific request.

I'm going to close this now, since most of the replies have been somewhat negative towards the idea. Should any staff member wish to comment further, they will be able to.
