GRAN TURISMO TIME ATTACK CHAMPIONSHIP​

Basicly, your opponent is the clock. Further more, you are battling the time, the others ran.
So hotlapping alone might be a little boring, while this is entertaining, and more challenging then the seasonal events.


Rules and restrictions:

Room settings:

Penalties: light
Fuel & tire wear: on - normal
Loose of grip: realistic
Damage: on & heavy


Tuning restrictions:

Tires: racing medium for every car, except the RedBulls (go to PP class system for more information), which will run on racing softs.
NOS: No NOS allowed.
Driving aids: no driving aids allowed, except ABS.

Not allowed cars:
FGT
LMP prototype

Racing:

· You will race together with other competitors. The other competitors will most likely drive faster or slower cars, for different classes, which means you need to be careful.

· If you need to get back to the pits, please drive to the pits, do not press quit.

· With the tire wear on, and you mess up the lap, it will be most likely the case you’ll be not at race speed. The be careful for those cars being on a hot lap. Drive offline.

· If you crash, with the damage on heavy, your car will be damaged, please type “yellow” (which stands for a yellow flag, or a full course caution) in the chat section. You will then drive back to the pits and write the “green”(which stands for the green flag, and the race goes on again)

· In case of a crash, EVERYONE has to slow down to 60km/h using the autopilot (press start)

· When the damaged car writes green, you will be allowed to go back to racing.

 You are allowed to write your time in the chatsection, to make it more competitive. But at the end, when the event has finished, or you have to go, YOU HAVE TO write you lap times from each class you raced in in the chatsection. Please write it like this: XXXPP – X:XX,XXX

If you had a faster laptime in the 1. heat, this time will count.

Per class:
1st: 5 points
2nd: 4 points
3rd: 3 points
4th: 2 points

The Competitor with the most class wins will score 7 extra points.

Friday: Practise and setup session: from 7PM GMT.

Saturday: Main Event: from 7PM GMT - 9PM GMT.
From 09:00PM GMT - 9:20 PM GMT: RB X2014 Junior
From 09:20PM GMT - 09:40 PM GMT: RB X2014 Standard
From 09:40PM GMT - 10:00 PM GMT : RB X2014 Fan Car.

You have the first date, if you can't get to the first heat of an event, there's always a possibilty of the second heat.

If there are any changes, i will post them here, and on facebook, (look at my signature for the link)

I have a thought:

Doing the time trials offline can be seen as a massive advantage on some tracks as times will be faster offline than online by roughly 2-4 seconds depending on the tracks so anyone who has entered offline will most likely top the time table by a few seconds. The game physics are different offline from online, plus tyre/fuel wear is completely off in offline mode, so there is no chance of gradually losing grip unlike racing online.

Sorry, i just wanted to point this out :)

I was thinking the same @1996mikey2412. I can see everyone peeling off to do their times offline.

It is a hard task, but i know some people who really wanted to compete, but couldn't, so i let them do it offline, but they will not compete against the online laptimes.
