Who else is against guess launching? I find it kind of like cheating personally.

I also hate timed launches; ie: The Black Screen Fiend.

Guess launching is the same as jumping bro.....now time launch is something that you must use in order to beat a record...nobody will post their times on blackscreen. Some cars due run faster on black screen......👍

I look a timed launches as getting the absolute best from a car by making it launch on its optimal rpm, its a pain yes and sometimes takes a few runs to nail it properly...but that's just part of the challenge, it's all in your timing and the ability to replicate it. Black screen for me is only used for suspension tuning, (except the few that launch best on black screen) and doesn't necessarily work for fine tuning a trans, especially the first 2 shifts. Also using auto isn't a good way to fine tune a trans either, sometimes gears like to be shifted at a slightly different rpm than others

if you think you spot one in a room - just ghost for him, but take a super long time to ghost like 10-15 seconds and watch him hop hop hop, give up, and bail on the race

Back when I first started online, I had a broken controller for about a month(from battlefield =\) and the ebrake would keep disengaging on me. Everyone thought I was a jumper too so I broke down and got a new one.

His blatant eagerness to show his distaste for players who engage in that behavior (improper ghosting technique) has led him to falsely accuse me of said activity...

Had he not been so zealous in his reply, he could conclude that one ghosting a single race, for a single person, they suspect is cheating would not reflect wholly on how they play online.

My post contained a technique that can be used to weed out bad players. It did not contain a description of my playing style. Did I mention how often I use this technique? No I certainly did not. So don't make assumptions, mate. In years of online play it has only been utilized a small number of times. Lets just say you could count the amount on one hand, while you have a Vegemite sandwich in another.

Had you played with me or any of my team's cohorts, you would see that I am nothing less than a joy to mingle with online.

Further, his defensive remark on the matter can also be interpreted as him being guilty of the subject at hand. Food for thought..

when you run in a room with jumpers if your ghosting you gonna be there longer then 10-15 secs waiting for them to re line up and jump again.. so might as well hold it and then the jumpers show their face and then host can boot em...

No, mostly they think your guessing when you tree the hell out of them, some of them has a excuse say stop guess launching or they say its a ghost lag which is probably true. Then when you I keep running them again, I still tree them hard. But this mostly happens in random rooms.

I set my right joystick: Press it forward it's gas, pull it back and its my E-Brake. I line up and pull it lightly and when the guy goes ghost I let go. A lot less slips. I like to pretend I'm at a real tree, you line up if you slip you done. I race some people that takes like minutes to race cause it's slip after slip and so on lol, that would get you laughed off the strip in real life It is a game but it just a pain in the butt.

Edit: I still use X as gas for drag.

The best way to handle a guess launcher is to call him out.

I personally feel that if you guess launch wrong, you should lose your spot on the line. Just like If you tree someone and they don't go on the ghost, you keep going. Race over.

When u hold x do u hold all the way down so that it redlines or do you lightly push it.

I have so much against people who '' jump '' but the Black Screen Launch is fixed now. I'm sure. But another thing that makes me a little angry is ghost launching. Where the person will sit in ghost in order to get a(n) faster(easier) launch.

If the guy who is ghost launching is legit and experiencing obvious ghost lag it usually accepted by most folks if he asks.

Not sure what you mean by "black screen launch is fixed".... Black screen launching has nothing to do with online play...unless you meant full throttle launching, but it hasn't changed any.

I havent seen ghost launching in a while. If I see the person ahead of me attempting It. Ill pull into his ghosted spot. That tehnds the get them to knock it off real quick.
