Alright I don't want to kill this thread. The correct answer to my previous picture was the group Jock Jams. They did the track Y'All Ready For This which you have all heard at stadiums and in car adverts, they also did the first few Mortal Kombat theme songs.

Aargh. When you mentioned the old NHL game the song 'are you ready for this' popped in my head, but alas, I forgot the artist. You are right, I lose.

Looking back at it, the band was not correct, but you can see how the picture means Jock Jams. At least I do.

If you're still going after mine, I know for sure that it is an actual band.
