The R32 is the dad and the monster (called Godzilla, remember?) so it's 100% correct!

This riddle started when I looked in my book. It said that the R34 was used as a rally car in europe. 3 seconds later I was on Wikipedia, where I found out that some Japanese guy raced a Skyline R32 and R33 in the Pikes Peak and won a total of 3 times.
