Melkus RS1000?

Also no but also what a cool car! Had never heard of that.

The styling is also very similar, as well as the ethos in some ways.

Matra/René Bonnet Djet?

I think Stiggy is right, but the rear (which looks like a Stepdown to me) is throwing me off...
DB Panhard HBR5
Sera Panhard

The car has a sloping front, similar to a Jag E-Type, but that's not the car.....

I'm guessing maybe a Aston DB5 or DB6. :scared:

More nopes, sorry!

Hints soon, but I only posted the pic last night.

Marcos 1800 GT?

Not a Marcos. Check my original post for a hint of sorts (though that could be a little misleading!)

SAAb Sonett II?

Nope. It's European though, but the engine was from another part of Europe.

Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada?

Edit: Ouch, the engine was not European, so it can't be it.

No. Nice avatar though (cue jazz hands)

Engine was from a popular British family car, not overly powerful.

It looks like a Ferrari but Ferrari isn't British. Can you give us the manufacturer unless that would give away the car?

Ashley Sprite or 1172?

The car itself was Italian, but used the powerplant from a British family car of the era.

Look for a hint in my posts, think outside the box :)

Ats 2500?

EDIT: Probably not as it has an Italian engine, but it looks right.

De Tomaso Vallelunga?

It has a Ford Kent engine :indiff:.

Yup a Cortina engine effectively.

You win sir. Did you notice the hint in all of my posts too? :)

Honestly, I didn't. It's just I know that a version of the Kent engine was used to power a De Tomaso (I went through a phase of loving old british Fords). 👍

Someone else may go. :)
