In honour of me having lunch and Duke being spelt with a silent 'y', here it is! Guess that Plane, resurrection!

Rules are simple. I will begin by posting a plane. Participants - participation is open to all - will try name the plane. The person who gets it right will post the next plane and so on and so on.

It may occur that the person who posts the picture is unavailable to confirm its correctness. If this happens, the guess can be validated in a google image search.

If the plane is so fookin tough that no-one can get it, either the pic poster nominates a new person, or posts a new pic, or if they arent around, first person to volunteer gets to put a pic up.

Happy guessin' :)

AWESOME!

Okay.....that's a....sopwith.....dodo-bird turkeybomber.

It's the front half of a Westland Lysander, but with a gun turret stuck onto the back. I don't know what it's called.

Good call Mike 👍

I'm gonna have to use guess work on this one. Is it a Junkers?

The back end looks like it was hacked off of a Lancaster... damn, Mike, did you have to start off with the ugliest, most uncommon piece of **** you could find?

daan is on the right "flight path" *cough*....;)

Edit: Actually, I didnt see the last post. Its a Lysander P12 although its proper designation is a k6127 👍

Ah, close enough. :) What aircraft is this...

That is the most confusing design for a plane I have ever seen! If the wing goes through the cockpit, where the hell did the pilot sit?

*EDIT* Looks like a Canberra bomber to me. Someone take my turn if I got it right; I've got to cram for my vector mechanics exam now! :dopey:

I think this is the worlds first jet bomber. The Junkers powered Arado Blitz.

And if I am wrong, I will look very silly!

Heh, I can confirm that from Wiki of all places. 👍

Good effort from both poster and postee!

Go for it J.o.

My turn! My turn!! (too bad if anyone posts a familiar jet, most anyone can get it :grumpy: )
Not your turn. Bad #17

Get one right, then it's your turn.

EDIT: Can't anyone read? :dunce:
