Alright, it's a 3 piece band from San Francisco. They're an instrumental indie metal band, although they sometimes sing. The drummer used to sing and play guitar in another band.
 
Blue Cheer? i doubt it to be fair but is one of 2 bands from SF i can think of and im 100% sure it isnt the other band.

Nope.

The latest CD by them is called Greatest Hits.

The guitarist for the band used to be in a death metal band called Weakling and in Drunk Horse. The bassist was a member of Nation of Ulysses, Lice, The Vile Cherubs, and The Young Ginns. And the drummer was in a band called The Event.

They do sound like Franz Ferdinand. As far as I'm aware, they made big time around '04, '05.

If you think you know the answer, google image search the band name. That pic should come right up.

I recognise the guy on the left (think he's the singer) and can 'hear' what they sound like. but when i googled who i thought they were i was wrong - i'll have to put my thinking cap on....
 
Hint: Not so sure about their second album, not listened to these for a while, they might not have a second one for all I know, but the first album was very vocal based for an indie band.
