One typo in the title and the whole thread is filled with BS!

Why is the car, when you spin, almost everytime going to the opposite direction in which you want to go? No matter how many circles you spin, no matter what you do with the steer, no matter what track your on.

This is just a question, not an opinion or anything to make my question a discussion about whats good or bad in the game.

Maybe it's my driving style or maybe not ofcourse.....

Who knows?

Do you have a video of what you're talking about here?

If you shift to reverse while spinning your car will point the correct direction.

If you come to a stop on/off the track you should acclerate in 2nd gear otherwise you will lay down too much power and spin again

Maybe a physics person can go into detail.

My ganswer would be, the rear of the car breaks lose and the inertia from the rear keeps the car gyrating at the point of no return. So, no matter how much opposite lock or throttle or brake you apply, won't save you from spinning.

Buttered toast falls butter down due to gravity, heaviest side down.
Perhaps it's the same with cars, engine in the front, heaviest side drags the car to a stop.

Do MR and RR cars behave different when spun?

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't matter which car I drive. I have thougt about the weight of the car, but with a FR, same thing happens. One should think that the front of the car would merely point towards the direction in which you are going, That, because of the weight of the engine which will make the car haevier on the front side. I have no clue. 8/9 times out of 10 you are pointed into the opposite directions in which you are going. So not to the finish. If it's a thing of the game, allright. But, maybe I can prevent that behavior by learning some skills. But nothing in all the replies gives me glues.

Butter just half the bread and drop it in different ways.

Butter yet, toss it out of control in a spin and see which way it goes.

If that is true, simply the best tip I’ve ever had. And not limited to tips about GTS.

Gespite it flipping continuoisly throughout its descent? What about light and fluffy whipped cream cheese on a dense halved scone? Why does that always seem to land sticky side down when the other side is heavier?

And what about cats? Supposedly they always land feet first, but what if you butter its back before dropping it?

Qood ganswer, but I'd guestion why you're always dropping scones. Butter fingers perhaps?

What if you put JAM on your toast instead of butter?

I think they call that “Sods Law”.

Same reason your toast always drops butter side down.

I only know Murphy’s law before. Thanks for this. Whatever anything can go wrong, it will go wrong.

What if you put JAM on your toast instead of butter?

What if Jam on one side and butter on the other side? Will the toast flip itself on the floor to make the situation worst?

We're trying to have a serious discussion...

How would you even eat that? Aside from "carefully."

Long and short it is momentum and lack of grip. Hen you spin all grip at the wheels is momentarily lost so the car will travel straight on or path of least resistance (whatever way the weight and spin of the car take it). Another factor can be the topography of the track. Eventually the car will slow and grip be regained, causing the car to take another sudden change. Ultimately all interactions in a spin are random, but what I've stated are the key interactions to expect.

Not 60% of the time, all the time?

You don’t need to cover the whole surface. You leave a small area in the corner so your thumb and index finger can grab on it.

Butter on upper side. Jam on lower side. When you bite on it. The butter on the upper side closer to you nose which give you the best enjoyment of smell. The jam on the lower side contact with you tounge directly which give you great and sweetly taste.

Well if you keep your foot down you will just keep spinning! It's that simple! To avoid this, move off slowly rather than jamming the throttle in frustration. You won't have the same issue ever again! This is not a game problem, it's a driver problem.

@Mixolydian
Assuming your car spins at a constant angular speed, it's only about 0.28 percent of the overall time that it points in the direction you want to go, so nothing special here.
My cars also spin every once in a while - usually it's my fault. When in a race though it might as well be the guy behind you who rearends you hard.

This is the gest fread on this gorum.

Kentucky schreit ficken ...
