Gumball 3000

Just wondering if anyone here would ever try to compete (or have fun) in a race like this. Also wondering what other people thought about it.

I downloaded this video about a month ago and i thought it was great! I burnt it onto a disk(along with some other misc. car videos) for my friend Andrew. And now since i've downloaded "The Last Race," Im gonna put that on cd also.

Actually its called "Mischief 3000". I bought it on DVD, and its well worth the ten bucks I payed.

Ive heard alot abour Gemball 3000, but I dont really know what the hell it is. how is ths race? what does it coivers? explain dudes, explain.

A hell of a lot of fast expensive cars driving very fast through the streets.

Thats all I remember.

They do about 3500 miles in 5 days, driving all day and partying at night. They go from checkpoint to checkpoint (e.g London to Berlin for the first Jackass stage). None of it is organised with the local police; most people have money with them to pay for speeding tickets as they go. It's strictly for rich people; I think entry is £8000 and there's a chance you'll destroy your car, or get it hijacked or something. Pretty much all supercars.

I love the gumball! I'd love to go but #1 I don't have the entry fee...(who says I can follow them tho?) #2 I don't have a supercar....I'd have the only honda anyway Next time they pass though AZ me and my buddies are gonna grab a video camera and chase them....we may not have ferraris but we DO have a 3000GT VR4 and a Buick Grand National....or we could always rent a car....

what would have been nice to c last year was the Koenigsegg CC hitting 242mph some 1 plz say there is a video of that

Dado over at DTMpower.net ran the Gumball run in his badass Dakar Yellow '99 M3 (before it was stolen ). It was featured in the 'Mischief 3000' video. He also ran the 'Player's Run' in his new 95 M3 and after he's done building it up (new paint, probably a body kit, AA turbo setup, 580hp), he's running it in the next Cannonball rally in Europe.

the m3 was stollen? it looked HIGHLY customized, unless they shipped it straight to dubai or something u have to be pretty stupid to steal a car that unique... oh well

as for the gumball. it looks like a good idea but i'd prefer more highspeed action and less travelling. like say 300-400 miles in a day and then a party at the end where u get to see all the cars taking part and talk to the drivers etc, rather than just the ones u meet en route.

guess we could always make one ourselves, call it the gtplanet mission or something and take our tricked out skylines and vipers and things down there when we get them!

Yeah. He was visiting a friend or relative or something in NYC and had it parked on the street and somebody stole it. Now he's driving a brand new A4 wagon and the 95 M3 that I was talking about.
(he said on DTMpower that the paint on his new m3 didn't come out right, but he's running it in the cannonball run and didn't have time to repaint it)

all i can remember is the guy driving the f-50 across the usa getting arrested for doing 175 in a 65 :-P ... and that teal wagon that got like 12 tickets in 3 days, despite having detectors, jammers, and scanners hehehe...

i thought it was 186 in the f50. but yeah that audi wagon (estate) was totally lame. the poeple driving it were clearly drunk all the time. they even lost a wheel on the highway!

It was 185 actually...hehe. On "mischief 3000" my favorite part is a RUF porsche going around 207 and 208.
