I think we can assume the perps aren't other Muslims if they're the same people who left the pig's headon their doorstep last June.

While it is never a good idea to give people like that press, I understand why, don't we still have a right to know? Sometimes I feel like things are hidden or swept under the rug as to not increase hatred.

Or that others may still be under investigation and releasing details may be counterproductive to stopping them.

It has been less than 24 hours since it happened.

Probably there are things more important than the public's "right to know". It could be a short list.

Does the "truth" always come out? No. Sometimes a beautiful, useful or necessary lie is preferable to the ugly truth.

Because I feel that some things are not shared, I think you know why but I'll say it for you. If this turns out to be Muslim of any sort, we should not know because we are not supposed to hate them, if it is some sort of Christian deal the same applies.

I think we deserve to know the truth regardless where the chips may fall but many times that is not the case and I consider the Canadian Government, especially in Quebec to be dishonest. Canada is a really neat place because of how their governments work, I have much experience there and I get on well with the west coast.

Not sure that last part matters but hey, I can say it.

At least they got the perps right away without further loss of life. Hopefully it isn't part of a wider network.

Funny. If you had said, "I think we can assume the perps aren't white people etc.", I'm guessing the retorts would have been quite swift:lol:

The Quebec authorities have not identified the suspects, but Radio Canada quoted a source close to the investigation as saying that they were students at Laval University in Quebec City and one was of Moroccan origin. An eyewitness told the radio station that two hooded people had burst into the mosque. One opened fire on those praying and shouted "Allahu Akbar", Arabic for "God is Great".

It's interesting (not sure if it's the right word) to see how our media are handling this. It went from quite the story to just a line of text on the ticker.

Hilarious, I'm sure. I think it'd depend upon what kind of evidence or reasoning the statement were based on after the "etc."

If the attackers were Muslim then I fail to see how that would be a fact to hide? After all it would demonstrate that those who are radical are not representative of the larger community, after all if they were then they would have no reason to attack them.

If the community gathered at the mosque were apostate or heretic, that may be reason enough. For instance, Sunni consider Shia to be apostate and heretic, and there is war between them in Syria and Iraq. Saudi Arabia is at war with Iran for the same reason. Catholics have slaughtered Protestants, Cathars, etc in bygone times. Scratch a believer and you potentially find a fanatic, no?

Potentially being the word in question.

However my wife is Catholic and I was a Protestant, so potentially you will also find rational human beings.

They're strangely devoted to the Qu'ran if they're anti-Muslim...
