hacked cars getting thru HP limit.

Hybriding is back just like it was in V2.11. Some people still cheat with overly moded cars (like you are seeing), some like Jay and me, make realistic cars and don't cheat.

are you saying that you can just add parts from your items list and the program will not set it back to stock. I tried that again yesterday and when I clicked on the car to drive it it was set back to stock HP. Or are you talking about charging parts in some PC program, which I am not sure how to do. I was trying to up HP on a Cien and somehow made it into a Veyron with almost 13,000 HP...?:dunce:

Yes. It will set the car back to stock. This happened in the V2.14 update for GT5. However, people have found a way by the patch, so now hybrids are back to the way they were in V2.11.

I can't get into any details (how to) on GTP. If you search around Google you will find out all the information you need. 👍

understand thanks

To be brutally honest, if PD patch them out again they're focusing on the wrong game, especially considering how close GT6 is to it's provisional/promised release date. Make sure they have the correct restrictions in place for seasonal events and there would be no need to patch anything out. (Still haven't done a single event since seeing the ridiculous FF cars "drifting" exploits) Once GT6 hits the shelves I'll be reverting GT5 to whichever is the latest version that has these abilities retained and building cars once again just for my own pleasure, curiosity and to watch level zero Bobs struggle with a 500bhp, rwd MK1 Golf VR6! >:0)

PD will not let GT5 go to the dogs.

Eventually they will find a way to get around you cheating *****s that ruin the game for the rest of us 👍

And this is an example of someone who will not open their mind up to the truth. Many have explained the positives of it already, so why haven't you "hybrid-haters" clicked yet?

Please stop calling the cars a hybrid,it is a hacked car. A hybrid is an electric/gas/diesel vehicle not a bunch of polygons and numbers that you managed to swap around.PD made the game not to include hacked cars.Someone smarter than you or I, cracked code, which is hacking their (PD's) proprietary property.
If people would just stop making ridiculous cars, hacking the seasonals and TT's and just generally shut up about it, there would be no issue. But it is the hackers, ruining the game for the hackers and it's the people who don't hack, that get blamed by hackers for wanting what they paid for.I really don't care what excuse or benefit it gives anyone. I just want to play the game, without some idiot with a ten foot high hacked car.I don't want to have to put PP limits HP limits etc etc etc to keep out a hacked car.I have no problem with hacked cars,go play with the other hacked cars. As the old saying go's, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

You completely contradicted your entire wall of text with the line "I have no problem with hacked cars". Well done.
I play the game how I want. You don't like it? Keep to yourself. Simple.

I really don't care about hacked cars. Stop blaming people who don't have them nor want them as if it's their fault PD is screwing with you with updates. It's the hackers ruining it for them self.So after looking at the hybrid pictures yeah I see the benefit of having no rear bumper, tires that don't fit within the wheel well and a car with 1200 hp motor that would bend the frame as soon as you step on the gas. Also I believe the original OP posted how do hacked cars keep getting through the PP limit. There is a benefit to that, the hacker just can't drive a car the same as everyone else at the same PP.You play the game the way you want, yeah like you cracked the code. Now there is some contradictions if I ever saw some.I know google is everyone's friend.

I didn't choose to call the hacked cars "hybrids". They have been called that for a very long time. I normally would say that they are just hacked cars, but the term for them is "hybrid" so I called them that.

I also agree with you on the ridiculous hybrids. I wish people would keep them realistic and would not cheat the Seasonal Events with them.

The realistic ones is what most people want to stay. They will eventually be patched again, then they will be back again. It won't end till the servers are shut down after GT6 comes out. The same thing has happened with the Jailbreak for the PS3.

I see that. See Lock.... I CALLED IT!!!! 1 month!!! XD I said one month and it would all be back as if nothing happened!!

*Starts dancing*........ Lol

But yeah..... even before the modding people need to set the room restrictions. They'll have in the room title. "500pp with S-Hard tires" and you get in the room and there are NO restrictions. So people just use what the **** ever they want. Then the hosts get upset and say they "Cheated" or something crazy and start kicking everyone.

The Hybrids just add to the matter. Especially in the hands of immature/asshole adults and stupid snot nosed little kids.

I had hybrids in 2.11 update. And only had like 3 or 4 cars over 1,000 hp. A 1,500 HP RB25 R34 RWD which was limited to 720Hp for drifting.

A 2,000 hp Turbo LS7 Iroc Z that was built for top speed runs ALONE and was then limited to 800hp for drifting.

And 2,000 HP TT 2UR SC300. (Which the hp was my first/only mistake making a hybrid.) HP was lowered to 1,100hp and was used for mostly drifting and the occational circut race with friends.

My other few hybrids were drift cars and had 800hp or less.

But as we can see some assholes abuse the little bit of a gift we got and **** it up for everybody. I mean really!? Whats the freaking point of having 200,000Hp!?

Let's do something totally irrational and see what Webster has to say...

hy·brid

/ˈhīˌbrid/

Noun
A thing made by combining two different elements; a mixture.

Adjective
Of mixed character; composed of mixed parts

OK and then:

hacked past participle, past tense of hack (Verb)
Verb
1.Cut with rough or heavy blows.
2.Ride a horse for pleasure or exercise

Well that's not right :scared: maybe we should call it a "hack" car? :

hack
/hak/

Verb
1.Cut with rough or heavy blows.
2.Ride a horse for pleasure or exercise.

Noun
1.A rough cut, blow, or stroke.
2.A writer or journalist producing dull, unoriginal work: "a hack scriptwriter".
3.A board on which a hawk's meat is laid.

Synonyms
chop - hew - cut

...Well i'm lost, guess i'll go with "hybrid" since i'm not riding a horse into the programing stroking a board where hawks meat is laid, all just for my pleasure...

Still can't believe people are so unwilling to use the restrictions provided in order to keep out cars you don't want in your rooms. Before the hacks there was always the total noob with either a Veyron, Speed 12 or Redbull that would come into rooms and "ruin" your night. The only thing that has changed now is that you need to be a little bit more specific, leave the regulations wide open and you cannot blame others for your lack of control over your event.

As for all you who say "Hacked" cars are unrealistic? Hmmm :sly:

Not everyone who hybridises their cars run 300,000bhp Aventadors.

So, does 2.14 allow HP multiplier ? Hundreds of thousand HP car ... what's the point ?

No that doesnt work anymore, the only way i guess is the FF Method

NVM Been answered

Totally agree with you!

I wish everyone had the tools and ability to make realistic hybrids then the playing field would be more even and fun!

I just wish that Kaz would allow the 'hidden' parts such as the stage 4/5 turbo and engine parts, so then we've actually got something to play with again

I really do love the realistic hybrids and I have had a few of the crazy hp cars but, it's fun for about 5 minutes.

I get much more enjoyment be able to cruise around in something I could possibly make if I had the time/money in real life.

just my 2 cents :)

Yeah. I mean what I say is 2,000hp is the cut off limit. Because there ARE real life street cars that can make that. In fact the highest street legal Supra was recorded at 1,807hp a few years ago. And the highest Skyline I think was 1,500hp or 1,700. Not to mention all of the 2,000hp TT Vetts, Mustangs, Trans-Am's, and Camaro's that are out there.

So yeah. 2,000hp would be my cut off point. Mostly those cars would only be good for Route X or Special Stage Route 7. 1,300hp or less could be used for Track/Time Attack cars. As there are MANY 1,000+hp Time Attack cars. And we all know about Daigo's two 1,200 Hp cars in Formula D, and Formula D Asia. (2JZ SC430 1,200hp in the states. And 1,200hp IS250 "Convertible" in Asia.)

And before people say he has 3. His Chaser is actually lowest in HP compared to these two. The Chaser has 950hp/975hp. Close! But just under the 1,000hp range. So yeah his Chaser isn't in that range yet. But out of the 3 cars he drives currently his Chaser by far gets the most angle.

My favorite realistic Swaps were simple.

Two of my best cars combined was one of them. The 02 Dodge Viper GT-S with a 08 Challenger TC V8 engine swap and Adjustible Nascar 4-Speed Dogbox transmission. 808hp N/A powered.

The ORINGINAL Toyota Nascar V8 powered 86GT with the Nascar 4-speed dogbox. 950hp. Limited to 740 eventually.

And my Aero removed 2JZ powered RX-7 Amemiya with 843hp. (Drift/Time Attack car)

Simple and awesome. More importantly LOADS of fun. ;) And great for drift comps/Time trials with "FRIENDS". Gotta put enphasis on that. Never used outside of my or a friends lounge. In fact 95% of my cars were not modded. I knew some people who modded almost all of there cars........... lets just say after 2.11 they didn't play for quite a while. Lol......

So based on the antiquated definitions you chose to provide…

this guy was a hacker,

these guys are lumberjacks,

and this is a hybrid car.

I can go along with that, even though Webster does not state any of those things in it's definitions for any of those terms? :indiff:

Thats what I was going to say

Hybrids usually are cars that has parts from other cars and therefore is a hybrid between the two, hacks are usually cars that a HP multiplier done to it but that hasn't worked since 2.11.

The HP multiplier doesn't work on 2.14, it hasn't worked since 2.11

You can still effectively get a HP multiplier via ridiculous turbos.

Suv139 this is true.

In all honesty Hybriding in GT5 is no more or less fair than racing in real life. In GT5 not everyone has the means or know how to perform a ZL1 427 swap in to a 69 Camaro just like in real life Not everyone has the money or know how but google is a great place to get the information to know how to do both and then, *gasps* EGAD!!! look at that level playing field. Hot rodders and Hackers are merely trying to get the car they desire using the car/cars they have. Cobra 427=Hybrid, Camaro ZL1=Hybrid, Ram SRT10=Hybrid and the Dome Zero=Hybrid and these are just production cars hacked by the company that produced them and these are just the few I can think of right off hand. Hot rodding is and always will be a big part of automotive history. With out people like Carrol Shelby, who felt a <250 C.I.D. I6 wasn't enough for his A/C Cobra(can't remember the actual name) then decided the 289 V8 wasn't enough so he doubled that to a 427 then still wasn't happy so he Supercharged it, we would still be puttering around the ring a 12mph in a Daimler Motorwagen that's design hadn't changed in 127 years.

(lots of logic)
