Why do all HACKERS have an attitude like guys who dont HACK are wrong. Can they also ban your console from on line play. Are we to work our butt off tuning just to be beat by a cheating HACKER. What is this game coming to.

when and where have you come across such hackers?

Why do you capitalise HACKERS every time you say it? HACKING is not as evil as you think. It sounds like some HACKER who's probably a legit player beat you in a race so you assumed and accused him of being a HACKER and he took the opportunity to troll you. Myself being someone you'd blatantly call a HACKER, I could tell you that he can't just ban your console, but if you take threats serious that a 12 year old typically comes up with, better fear those god dern HACKERS.

Hackers are not the problem, people that abuse hack/hacking are the problem.
And those cheaters that use hacks, mostly downloaded a prog that does the hack.

I would love one of those hack progs, just to adjust the wheels on a old VW beetle so they look proper wide and not like bike weels when you change wheels.
But then again, i would run the risk for a ban on psn.

I'm sure PD could implement some sort of file verification for when you play online. At the least, there must be a way of verifying checksums when you go online.

(I don't have a problem with them using them offline though. Altering how the cars look and act sounds quite interesting.)

Cheaters are my pet peeve though. Habitually driving dirty and cutting any corner for an advantage. The lowest of the low are the people who know how to drive but still do it. They really make my blood boil. It wouldn't surprise me if they even count their lap times as valid. Cut the same corner twice in a row without any attempt at braking for it, ban the lowlife...ok, maybe ban is a bit harsh. At least kick them though.

This is just funny.

People are always gonna mod, don't play with them if you feel they're cheating in some way.

PD have tried to stop this many times since GT5, but the "hackers" or modders will always find a way to get round it.

Creating a rage thead on GTP won't do much...

PD won't ban the dirty drivers/corner cutters but you can block them from your rooms if you are the host

If it tugs at the heart strings of at least one hacker to stop doing it, it's a success. The same as being in a race where you see someone constantly doing it but never do it yourself. Several times, I've seen people stop doing it when they see that I refuse to.

I was thinking more of quick match. Where short cutting seems to be the norm and nobody has any control of the room.

Oh ok. Even then the most PD would do is ban them from Quick match

You can check HP now?

I was under the impression you always could. However, I only got GT6 about 6 months ago.

Nissan GT-R Black Edition, it had 1514 HP.

Yeah, that's excessive. But, y'know, people are going to hack. This is something PD has been trying to stop since the GT5 days, when hybriding was a thing. If you're under the impression someone's hacked their car, don't play with them. It's that simple. I mean, you could try and report them to PD, but this doesn't usually work. Honestly, posting a thread condemning all hackers will get you nowhere.

I haven't played GT6 in about a year now, so I would remember or know.

You've always been able to. While in the room, select one of the options at the bottom called "Member's list". It will show you a table, pressing the square button will cycle through different screens showing each player's name/car, tyres, various driving aids, horsepower, weight and performance points.

Oh well I tried just needed to vent somewhere thanks for reading staggers beware:-)

Wow auto correct sucks DRAGGERS beware.

Some things are easy to stop. A max HP/min. weight check against the known limits on PD's part would be simple to do on any car trying to enter the track.

I was in a drag room

Enough said!

TIP: Find a drag club... they must exist... that has rules and lobby settings set appropriately.
You're going into random drag lobbies, you gotta watch to make sure that the host is actually making the settings to something.

When in the lobby main screen, you click on the people icon -- the bust image, looks a bit like a chess pawn, it's among the buttons for save replay or race results, etc.

In there, it'll show you tires first, of everybody who's on the track. Then you can toggle. Maybe it's the triangle or square button I don't remember, but it says so down the bottom when you're in that screen. You'll be able to see other things. Like the pp, hp of the car, the aids settings, etc.

I think what ticks folks off about hackers is that some people just want to play the game the right way, do the seasonals the right way; and then they see people hacking beating them illegitimately.

But on the other hand, hackers hack just because they can and some of em do it because they're not happy with the game. I know on GT5 I was kind of upset that you couldn't do engine swaps. Some of the races were near impossible to win (Historic Racing Cup). I just wanted to play the game, have fun, and not have to grind away for a month to get enough credits to get the car I want.
