Hacking? READ POST 1!

For minor stuff, don't make the assumption that I want to add every car to my garage or hybrid a car.

Stuff like, changing a horn's sound, deleting an invisible wall, adding livery to a car, etc. etc.

So?
I'm no hacker, so do you guys think this is even possible?
 
It's not hacking... It's modifying the game. Yes it would be possible. Because the PS3 has been hacked, all you have to do is wait until someone develops a cheating app.

Anyway there is bound to be someone that will/can do this as it's not impossible to hack the game.
 
yea i joined a race last night and there was a guy talking about if you have your PS3 Jailbroken he would help you mod your game to have max credits and All Gold in all Specials and Licenses

Yeah, but I don't wan that. In fact, no non-hackers want that.
 
It's completely possible to hack the game. The easiest way would be for a bored PD programmer to start messing round with settings and modding copies of the game. I think anything is hackable, if you have the technology and knowledge to do it. I wouldn't recommend it though, too much hassle!

And, Sony tracks everything on your PS3!
 
They've hacked Modern Warfare 2 to death (super sped-up gameplay, all killstreaks are chopper gunners, change your character to anything regardless of weapons class, etc.)

It might not happen, seeing as though PD updates quite often, but I wouldn't be surprised either. It'll only be a matter of time before someone finds a way into GT5. For now, when the game is still very active, I wouldn't worry.
 
Reminds me of the hybrid cars of GT2... I had a mid engine Vitz with a Supra twin turbo engine... went like stink.

Yeah, but that's the bad kind of hacking for bad boy players.
Putting a General Lee horn on an X1 is the good kind of hacking. :D

Funny though...make a Light car with mods to 10kg and then put an x1 engine in it XD 15000 to 1 power to weight would be hilarious. That or adjust the engine/ballast so you ca have 200 or 1%

Boring hacking you mean. Maybe you could hack some crochet curtains on the rear windows of the Volvo estate.

If you are going to hack than hack it properly. Make the X1 have monster truck tyres and give the 2CV infinite weight so it can blast through any other car on the track. Something that's fun :)

Great so we can have another person who can't drive wrecking all over the place.Why can't people just play the game?

Here's what I suggest to any 'modders' out there. PD Kart with all weight modifications. Then give it X2010 downforce and engine with all power mods available (imagine a fully tuned, stage 3 turbo and supercharged engine that had 1,500hp to start with!). If you could keep it in a straight line imagine the top speed :drool:
 
Guys, I don't want to hack the game so there are people rung around online with PD Go Karts with X1 engines.

I liked the idea of crochet curtains on the volvo.
Just to remove some of the stuff NOBODY likes. And add some stuff that NOBODY would mind.
Like removing the 20 mil cap, and adding a few different horns.
 
If people are thinking of hacking then hack the TGTT so it loses the invisible walls, runway barriers and cones :)
 
or importing the data from GT4 regarding the "wheels" to be place on standard cars in GT5 would be bliss <3
