Neo was such a nice guy, willing to share information about his experiences with his rigs and he gave great reviews on different things he tried.

He was one of several good folks here on GTP who I had PM’ed several times just to get input and ideas on some things I want/wanted to do with mine, and he was so willing to share. He’s certainly missed.

Damn, sad to hear that. He really shared some great stuff with the community.
Very supportive too, quick to answer my questions by PMs. He will be missed. :(

Oh no, that is terrible news. I spoke with neo not so long ago in regards to his triple stand. In particular how Fast Track built it, cause I was going to try and build one for my 55". He sent me all the photos he had on it. To show my thanks I made him a PDF of his rig and he was really thankful.

RIP Randall, you were one of the good guys!

OH NO, this literally just shocked me and gave me a stomach ache. :(

I was speaking with him on January 12th about buying his GS4 when he told me he was sick and wasn't feeling well. Genuinely good guy. Sucks.

Sorry buddy, I hope you're cruising in heaven!

Just went through my emails. Randall sent me one that shows just how modest he was. He did not take any credit for the knowledge he obviously had. He will be sorely missed.

Darren,
The pdf file is super nice, thank you. I must admit I was inspired by you an a couple of the other members when I started building my rig. I guess you could say I had 'rig envy' and have been working on trying to get my rig in the same league as you guys. I've found your posts to be very informative and always look forward to reading your comments because I know I will learn something. I've only been sim racing for about 18 months and during that time there were periods where my rig was down and I could not race. Started out primarily racing console games (GT5, etc) and just moved into online racing about a year ago. For now I'm actually doing more practicing than actual racing because I want to raise my driving skills and I'm still in the process of getting my rig dialed in (especially SimVibe - which I love). I'm thinking of going to motion with the SimXeperience starter kit (would rather have D-Box but unless I can find a deal on a D-Box set-up that is probably going to be out of my price range right now).

I love the GS-4 seat! My first impression was no so enthusiastic. I thought, hmm this really doesn't do much but after I stopped thinking about the seat and started thinking about racing the seat worked it's magic on my mind and now I hate racing without it (GT5, etc).

Thank you for preparing the pdf file, it's fantastic and thank you for all of your input, advice and comments on the forums. I would not have been able to build my rig without guys like you taking the time to offer your thoughts. My posting of my review is just my way of trying to give back to the community and I'm glad it turned out Ok.

Randy

Yeah I agree, he was super helpful and very humble. I spoke to the gent who bought all his stuff from his son and he said its been all picked through. If anyone is interested in a RSeat white formula chassis though in mint condition, along with the custom platform Mark at FTS built for Randall, its still available and a steal at $800 for everything. That is like $1000 off retail. In a way it keeps Randall alive if his stuff is still racing. RIP buddy.
