Edwin's dad does not have p*rn, Im not sure if he has a surge protector, and the type of p*rn wouldnt affect it.

Though now that i think of it, that might explain why my Dell is so horribly slow, especially since it has no viruses since the Windows reinstall :crazy:

I hate it because well i have a few reasons..

1. Everyone uses rockets... banshees...tanks...and snipers... thats it..

2. Singleplayer is boring to me.. Nothing new... I like Half-life cause it was original. And it's basically the granddaddy of online shooters. And don't say it's not. 70% of people playing online games at this moment, are playing some version of Half-Life. It has soooo many mods, actually there are more mods for this game then anyother game out there. Thanks for Valve making it really easy for modders to make there things and transport data to the new engine. So for all the famous mods that were out there for the 1.5, 1.6 etc.. made it easy to make a new one for the Source engine, with out having to start from scratch. And 10,000+ CS Source servers all payed for? WOW! Server companys make seriousm money off of CS. Any just remember, more people are on 1.6, then CSS!

I'm sorry, Halo really does not stand out to what it's saposed to be. The game is fun, but not as much fun as the ones that started the genre.

Actually, I don't think your "70% of all gamers are playing a mod of Half Life" are very accurate.

Yes, Half Life was great, and is still fun to play for Nostalgia. But then we compare Halo, to games that were created after it's time. Half Life 2? Newer than Halo. Far Cry? Newer than Halo. F.E.A.R? Same result.

Halo was a good game IMO. It did get repetive after a while, as did Halo 2, but hey, it was a fun pick-up-and-go FPS.
 
I usually play Halo in 1024*768 with all the setting on. The game run very smooth. I really doubt the original XBOX run that smooth.

You can uncap the 30fps limit so it's even smoother.
 
It doesn't matter if I uncap 30fps, its the same.

Which is great in it's own right. But, uh, Halo 2 is also not as good as Half-Life 2. And it is pretty much the same age.
 
Before anyone flames me for reviving an old thread, I apologize if I offended anyone......

Well heres the thing, just got interested playing Halo all of a sudden (yeah, talk about it.... :rolleyes: and well I started to download the game and install on my pc. 👍 (and I download Halo 2 for safe measures as well....) So yeah, installed the game and played it and it was...... pretty similar to Counter-Strike!!! Well accept the mission, the covenants and the storyline of course. As a long time CS player, it was rather easy to play (except one or two things) and graphics wise, its crap. But as long as the gameplay was smooth, it didn't matter to me. Right now, I'm already passed the rescuing Captain Keyes part and starting the next level on Halo! I don't really understand some part of the game (I really don't know how to control the warthog!) but never mind, I'll just keep playing it..... :)

So anyone of you Halo pros know any good part of the game or any secrets I should be aware of? Also, what other controls should I need to know that isn't listed on the control layout? And can someone tell me how to make my ally drive the warthog instead of me?

*sigh* Hope Halo 2 finishes download and pray that Halo 3 would come out on the PC...... :D
 
Similar to CS? I totally fail to see the resemblance. I'd say more like Unreal Tournament. To control the warthog you need to move your mouse around to steer, and I think it's W and S to go forward and back.
Also you can play online, which is pretty fun.

Well, to me it is. :p (WASD to move, Left Click to shoot, R to reload, Left CTRL to duck, Q to change weapon.... :lol:) Well I know how to basically to control the warthog, but how do I make the soldier drive the warthog while I shoot down the enemies? Or is than only possible at certain situation?
 
Hey I was wondering if someone could help me...

Ive got Halo on PC and been playing through the campaign now and then but ive got stuck on the bit after you walk into the pulse generator to blow it up then those flying things come into the room... Then you get in a Banshee and drop down a level then have to cross the two main bridges.. Im there!

Basically I cannot make it past the 2nd bridge with the flood mutants holding rocket launchers... can anyone give me any advice?

What guns do you have?

Shotgun + Assault rifle is usually a good combination when dealing with the flood.

Ive got a shotgun and I can get some weapons of other killed flood but its just that damn bridge, I tried running across it but every time I get hit with a launcher!
