Halo is boring....

"you apaerently havn't played any of the half-life series, in fact not many fps cause again i can name lots of games better then halo and even doom. but i agree doom is a very good fps and it is better then halo."

I have in fact played many Half-Life games. In fact, I've also played many FPS games. I've played everything from Wolfenstein to Halo. You can name lots of games better than Halo? Alright, name them then, I'd love to see your list.

Halo is not in lack of people online. Counter-Strike has been out over 5 years. Halo hasn't been around nearly that long. Also, Counter-Strike is a PC game where online access is much easier than console access. The number of people playing Halo online would triple if it were a PC game.

Yoda, you bring shame to your name. If I recall, the real Yoda had at least a bit of logic to back things he said up. You are the complete opposite. :dunce:

A game better than another is a matter of opinion. Reviews saying another game is better than another is not true b/c they're a magazine. Its the reviewers personal choice.

I personally prefer Half-Life 2 over Halo 2, but Halo1 is still a bit more better, imo.
My favorite FPS though is Area 51. I love the storyline.
BTW, Halo is for the PC (and cheap nowadays), but I've never played the PC version so I can't comment on multiplayer.

But like I saying, because someone says a game is better than another, LIKE when you said, unsanctified,

He can list as many games as he wants. Its going to be his opinion, and any of the ones you disagree with are going to be your opinion. And frankly, if someone has to so stoop low to challenge a person's opinion and say they're wrong is complete idioticy.

Its even worse, when the person who is being challenged doesn't realize his opinion is being challenged, and thinks he's being told he's wrong. He's not, he's just got an idiot messing with him.

And Bryce, no need to say names.

um just to telll you halo has been out for about 2 years for pc now, so if ur caling me stupid look around you on ads HALO for PC thats whhat i have cause i would never spend money for an x-box when i have a ps2 with gt4, god of war, SOCOM and many other great games.
 
i rented HALO2 played for a few hours online and took it back, im glad i didnt buy it and i will never play again. GHOST RECON 2 is a much beter game.

You say you wouldn't buy an xbox as you have many great PS2 games, so what? Both machines have many great games. You comments on the Halo games shows that you have little respect for game developers, especially those such as Bungie who pour HOURS in to making a great game, and trust me, the majority of non biased gamers are very happy with the Halo series. They have superb game play, great multiplayer, a STUNNING sound track, great sound effects, damn nice graphics and while the levels them selves are not as good in places as I hoped, the co op and multiplayer make up for that.

Oh and brothers in arms is no where near Halo 2's quality, at best BOA is average and tatty.
 
hhmmm.. did i here bungie made halo? last time i checked microsft bought halo off of Nintendo, it even says that on nintendo power about 3 years ago. mabe 4 not sure.

I heard that Sega bought sonic the hedge-cutter off nintendo. He was gonna be marios mate, and sega bought him and turned him in to a hedgehog (GET IT) and he was blue and really fast. Sonic likes chilldogs, I saw it in sega power 10 years ago.

BTW bungie MADE HALO FROM DAY ONE. There you go.

I agree.
GR2 is amazing and I love the online a hell of a lot more than Halo 2's.
My personal opinion.
 
Halo 2 is good when u first go on it, the first levels are well designed with interesting new vehicles, but the laughably awful textures in the cutscenes that r delayed and load up in stages ment that i started to only notice the failings. The concept of 1st person shooting is well established with many good games like Ghost Recon but halo 2 is nothing special now. The levels at the end of the game are boring and repetative and i just got fed up of the game. Online however is much better than the messy story line. I havent taken it back or solt it coz playing online or with 4 mates can be good fun. But Ps2 is far more played on.
 
well HALO 2 is awesome........it does get boring...but graphics do make a big part of the game!
I have been going back and forth between halo 2 and gt/4 ...im glad ps/2 didnt get halo 2..because it would have sucky online play and less graphics!!!
 
Okay, time for a follow up: Halo 2 has cured all my problems with the Halo franchise. The Halo 1 multi-player got extremely boring with Blood gulch played over and over. I really enjoy Halo 2 with the energy swords, improved battle rifle, etc.
 
I'd say that both halo1 and halo2 are great games for people who have never played pc fps, they do a wonderful job. Personally after getting hl and hl2 they just don't cut it.

In terms of the pistol being to strong in the first, has anyone ever played against a deagler in cs:s? (deagle as primary and use an smg or auto shotty for "oh ****" situations) I was one briefly and a friend of mine owns people doing it.

Halo 2 isn't quite balanced (though it is extremely close). The best weapon exploits I can remember are pistol/smg and plasma rifle doubles. With the plasma rifles clicking the trigger(s) quickly gives you a higher and more accurate rate of fire.

In terms of console internet it gets it's ass kicked by ghost recon (though I don't have much experience with online consoles other than the two). The xbox's controller seems much more fluid with fps' than that of the ps2.

It all comes down to personal preference. I can't enjoy it after playing cs.
 
Same here. Halo 2's online doesn't cut it anymore for me and that was the last thing keeping me from selling it. I've had less than 8 months now, and am considering selling it. I've never sold a game in that short a time period.

The Online play for PC FPS are really starting to show the real deal, and are really starting to tear away at Live's FPS games.
