I know it was weird. The EVO has got at least 320BHP while the 525i has got 214BHP. Still, the EVO has got the same top speed as the 525i limited to 250KM/H. But who knows ;)

The Evo's top speed is reportedly 185... Which is plenty enough to catch a measly 525i. If it wasn't.. that driver is seriously bad and shouldn't be a cop. Your police force must royally blow if they can't catch a 5 series... No offense but I find it sad.. What ever.

Maybe it's actually a Lancer 2.0 modified, coz the goverment can't afford to buy a high-performance car to be made as a highway cruiser. It can only chase my dad's Accord 2.0.
We got SRT-8 Chargers running all over this bizznatch here... I don't see the occasional Evo else where being that far of a stretch. But I bet you are right that one is just a Lancer.

Yeah it's either a bad driver or maybe the 5-Series has been modified. Because we have lots of crazy Chinese people who modified their BMWs and make it faster like putting a DINAN Stroker etc. I can't provide much information as I wasn't there and I don't know how the car looks like whether it has been modified or not.

And it really is an EVO10. We know that in the US, they have the Charger SRT/8 as their police car and it's fast too but boy, I believe the 525i has been modified.

In the US its mostly just crown vics and v6 chargers and some v8 ones.. But in some of the more richer areas (such as Marin :) ) some of the forces have SRT's for some reason... Today actually, I saw a Ford Five Hundred unmarked one...

Did the 525i get away? Here in the states its pretty crazy to get away with the amount of force they will send at you..

Cool!! I think the only state in the US that have sooo many Crown Victoria is in New York I believe. Nearly everywhere.

Yeah the 525i got away during the pursuit but now the police is looking for the car through the licence plate. I heard this story from my dad's friend which is a policeman. Though no news yet about it. I also seen some of the videos of car chases from the US and all I can say is, the bad guy is crazy for driving like hell and the police sends a chopper, 5 police cruiser to catch one car and if the bad guy got caught, busted is the only word  and spend years in the prizon.

I think you know this :

I think the 1-series (at least the coupe) is a very pretty car. Its proportions are excellent and it has a nice aggressive stance. I would have one in a blink of an eye.

I agree. It's one of my favourite BMWs. I walked past a white one the other day and was impressed how crisp the design looked.

I actually don't mind the hatchbacks if I'm honest, but they don't work as well as the coupe. In contrast, the convertible is a bit bland... without a roof to even out the design it looks quite bottom-heavy.

Crown Victoria are everywhere in most Cities..

But now we are waaay off topic... So lets get back to 1 Series cop car..

I agree that the 1 looks fantastic. However I'm having to break the habit of thinking of the hatchback models from GT4 and instead remember that the coupe exists. It's a legitimate replacement for an M3 in my opinion.

Let's hope the German police officers are better drivers than their colleagues from Italy:
