I didn't rate this, there were some funny lines especially earlier but it was very predictable and just overall not that much good hiding behind the special effects. It was watchable in a turn your brain off kind of way, but that's the only time I'll watch it. It could have been great if only they hadn't opted for the cheesey and predictable "twists" and a group of bad guys that made zero sense and appeared to lack even half a brain cell. Beyond a handfull of genuinely good lines, the film as a whole just didn't do anything for me.

Imo there should not have been another superhero like him, he should have been alone and kept alone through the whole film. Having Theron predictably turn out to be another like him was cheap and harmed any potential for a deeper ending that could have come about. I would have spent more time with him being an asshole, that part of the film was the best. And I wouldn't have had criminals who knew fully well who he was and yet still tried to fight him man to man, like they ever had a chance. It needed something smarter than that, he needed a weakness but nothing like what was in the film.

IMO, the last few posts have hit the nail on the head.

I got 7 of us together to go and see this last week, and we all came out disappointed with the ending, and i have to say, during some of the hurricane scenes, i was completely confused.

However, i still maintain that the prison scene was one of the funniest things i will see this year.

I defy any of you not to laugh when the camera zooms out.

I wonder what Mr P thought of it, after all he did start this thread.....

Ya its a pretty good movie...but Batman: Dark Knight is way better

DK isn't in the same class as this bologna, so thats really not fair. I haven't seen it yet because the movies are just completely packed every showing for it here, so is the IMAX:ouch:

Saw it today, wasn't too impressed. Storyline felt like it dragged on quite a bit and the ending seemed poor. 6/10 👎

I thought this movie was quite good.

The best part about it was the on take on the whole superhero thing. If you take Ironman for instance, the man himself is superhuman, without his superpowers. This however, make the character out to be almost sub-human. If it weren't for his superpowers, he would be a bum. I think, technically, he still is a bum.

Anyway, I thought it was good, and really good to see some character development and a (semi-)deep storyline in there too, rather than a "save-the-world-from-the-evil-baddies" type of thing.

While the storyline could have been better, I liked that it wasn't the usual.

And in some scenes Charlize was a 10/10.

I'd have preferred it if Hancock didn't fly though. I thought the same about Ironman too. There's just something about the flying that makes it really unbelievable to me. (It was beliveable before?)

Saw it a while ago Loved it. I'm not the kind of person who disects movies so yeah lol 'nuff said

I saw it the day it came out. It was good until the last half hour (shocker anticlimax), I finally left so I could relieve myself...I liked the start of it though, very rebellious 👍. Maybe 8/10??

I forgot to get back to this one mate ... I thought it was mediocre and I would give it a 5 out of 10 roughly and that's purely based on the way he was a menace to society and a drunken bum to boot :sly: It was ok but the fight scenes later in the movie and the ending were just ridiculously non effective .. 5 out of 10 might have been too generous after watching The superb Dark Knight last night  I can't get over how good that movie is and seems I will have to edit my top 10 movies ever list to include that beauty

I'd also like to add to my earlier comment, that I'm sick of the 'out-of-focus-, 'shakey camera' filiming that has been hitting the screens lately.

It's old already. And nausiating.

Get a tripod!

Will Smith is also one of my favorite actors. This ended up being a lot better then I expected. It was also a lot more funny then I thought it would be. There were many parts that had the entire theater laughing extremely loud. You cant go in taking the movie serious at all. Its out there and meant to be out there which makes it very funny. It cant be compared with any of the other super hero movies out there. Its in a leage of its own.
