So some kid hung himself on Friday night. Yea cool huh. I guess he broke up with his girlfriend and couldnt take it anymore. He was a little weird anyway but oh well. He was gothic too so not to sound sterotypical but kinda suspected. I heard that when they found him he was still alive but had a broken neck and died on the way to the hospital. Not to put a damper on anyones day but monday was asucky day a school. I just wanted to know if any of you knew of someone or had someone close to you kill themselves.

Yes seriously, a human life is gone, and everyone who cared about him has to deal with his loss, this is perhaps one the last places a "yo mama" joke would be even half sensible.

Well I'm sorry someone died, but honestly he's stupid. If hes a "kid" and he hung himself, didn't even do it correctly, over a girl, he was obveiously listening to too much death metal or something. No one should be that ****ed up, he should have seeked professional, or even peer help, before he hung himself. Sure, all of us as teenagers wanted to die, but most of us (thankfully) didn't ever go through with it.

But you know maybe I'm wrong, maybe just losing his girlfriend wasn't he only reason he decided to kill himself, maybe his parents were abusive.
 
no doubt his music preferences are gonna get the blame, not the more important factors that probably contributed a lot more and were not addressed earlier

Yes, one of my best friends in grade school killed himself our 11th grade year in early December. Blew his head off with a shotgun, I believe. In late 10th grade he had gotten his girlfriend pregnant. Then they got married during the summer. The baby came along shortly after. Christmas was on the way and apparently it got to him. Really creepy to me.

I honestly believe that in middle school when he started hanging out with 'different kids' and I told him that I didn't like them and he told me he didn't care that that was when it his life changed. His "new friends" got him into trouble every couple of months, big trouble, and it just got worse as time went on. I'm not saying I was a little goody goody, but I knew when to quit and go home. He ended up in jail a few times, and school rappidly became a hastle instead of a focus for him.

And now he's dead. Rather sad.

I can't believe you're blaming this on his music choice! That infuriates me to no end. Music has so very little to do with people's actions. I bet next we'll get some crock about the video games he played. BULL ****.

It's all about piss poor parenting. There are people making babies who don't deserve to have them because they don't know how to raise them.
 
Geeze, he took a crappy way to die. Wiggling around spewing blood would be my way.

I dont care what anyone says, music, especially music, makes you feel INASNELY different than what you felt like before you heard it, and you know it. Mix that in with hanging out with other depressed morons (goths) and youve got yourself a real bad mixture.

Video games is a completly different story, thats about confusing reality with non, and also a very bad role model for kids (yes, video games being a role model, look at these characters)
 
Music, video games, etc. don't affect kids if they are properly parented. I had a Sega Genesis when I was really young and I played Mortal Kombat but my parents taught me not to beat the living s*** outta someone for enjoyment.

Anyways I thought this thread was going to be a game in all honesty. But anyways when I was in high school someone killed themselves every year. I remember in 10th grade a kid did it at school, he went into the bathroom and cut himself. Pretty disgusting but the kids was nuts so it was expected.

In fact all the kids that killed themselves were the kids that sat alone, hated everyone, listend to emo (not saying that was the reason), cried, were always depressed, did bad in school, and had one parent. I think it was the divorced parents that really did it for em.

But if I had to go I think I would prefer to kill myself in a noble way, like trying to rescue someone from a burning car but just kind stay in it. At least I would get my 15 minutes.

I'm sorry you have such a negative view on a certain life style, but they hate you too so I guess it's fair.

The only reality confused with non is what is in your head.

Usually, or here with every goth, they are always depressed and think life isn't all that great and don't care about anyone or like anyone unless they're like them. Here, they listened to extremely hard metal that songs about death and that.

Unfornately for me (I know someone will reply), I think the Gothic deal had a big impact on his suicide.
 
When I was 16, I was walking in the park behind my house, after dark, by myeslf, with only a flash light and I was just walking along looking down at the path and when I looked up I saw some guy hanging from a tree...it was probably the most horrible scariest moment in my life, I can just remember running home as fast as I could...I couldent even tell anyone for quite a while :indiff:

About a week (I guess it isnt That long) , but I probably should have reported it as soon as I got home, before someone else got the same scare I did.

He wasnt depressed because he was goth, he was goth because he was depressed.
 
the only real difference between a goth and an average person is that a goth does not live in that artificial dreamworld made up by advertisements, pop-culture and plastic surgery.

so many families look happy and perfect from the outside, yet they are totally screwed. only you can't see it.

Youre gothic arent you :lol: , well it sounds like it anyway.

Not everyone is the same. No family is perfect. If youre thinking of the average 4 person family, wife dad and 2 kids, and how they allways act nice and perfect, u arent the only one in the world who knows that they have their problems and maybe they arent so nice and smile-ee on the inside with doors closed.

A part of that is most goths think they are the only people who realise the world for what it really is, and they harp on that and think about that way too hard and just cant accept that fact. They want to be different. Most of the goths ive ever met (a lot of them) are so fake as a person , as true as they want themselves to be.

I didn't say anything about him being depressed because he was Gothic. I said all the ones around here are depressed all the time.

Back in 9th grade, it was different because not all the Goths were depressed. Some were actually lively.
