So does this mean, you're legal age to operate a vehicle? And now I need to wory about who's on the road?

Happy Birthday, and enjoy it!

Don't worry, I won't be in Boston any time soon. Thanks guys. I enjoyed it (not getting the permit 'til monday; registry isn't open on weekends...:irked:). Best part is I'm getting out of school to get it. So I'm sure you all must want to know what the heck I got on my birthday (not really, but I feel like sharing anyway); I got some headphones (Sony, really loud and high-quality), a couple CDs, and $50 (as well as a mysterious gift from my mother which should be arriving in a week). Well, off to look for jobs; and cars (I have my eye on a 2001 Pontiac RamAir Trans AM; $76 a week; working 20 hours a week at minimum wage should be enough). Well, once again thanks (party at my place for those who know where it is :p)

Don't forget about insurance. You'll be paying more for insurance than for your car, sadly.

Yeah, I kinda had forgot to look up insurrance rates on beasts like that one, although I'm willing to bet that it'll be really high (in spite of the black color). I'm trying to figure out what the insurance rate would be on it (although I'm guessing over $100 a month).

well, the car payment'd be about $300 a month, so I'm guessing that insurance would be near half of that (although I could be way off...)

Happy late B-day and Glad to see you changed your avatar

Insurance (from State Farm) for a 1995 Nissan Altima, clean record, was $150ish a month for me. I took drivers education and had the good student discount.

WRX is about $330 a month, with a totalled car (the Altima, I collected $6,000), speeding ticket, and wreckless driving on my record.

The Trans Am would definatly be considered a sports car, so higher insurance rates. Also, does it snow a lot in New England?? Rear-wheel drive cars would be hell in snow, or just about an adverse weather conditions.

I'm not trying to keep you from buying it, but I just want you to know where I'm coming from to give you a rough idea of where you might be going.

Well, I wouldn't drive it in the snow/ice really (as it is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle and I wouldn't want to ruin it), it'd be merely something really nice to take me to school, church, or a friends' house. BTW, in an hour after making this post, I am going to be at the registry getting my permit. I'll post it up when I get home from school (vital information edited out, of course).

happy late Bday Jpec07

Happy birthday, JPEG!

Insurance is always more than $100 when you're 16. you could be driving my Corolla, it'll still be high.

Well, got the permit (is it just me, or is that test absurdly easy?) Whatever, here's an edited version of it (to remove stuff that you could potentially steal my me-ness with...):

My permit is ridiculously faded. You can barely see any part of my face. In fact, my bank has been complaining for a couple months that they can't see my face.

I don't know why I need to show an ID to deposit money, in the first place.
