It seems to me that you have a similar drivers license system to us here in NZ, I got my Photo Drivers License Card today, its a very bad picture of me and my signature is screwed up a bit but it doesn't matter. Do you get photo drivers licenses?? Or do you just get a peice of paper saying that you can drive?......

Back in the day they were just peices of paper for the permits, and then flimsy laminated paper for the licenses...
