Thanks everybody! :)

Any new Apple stuff?
Nope. My mom's buying me these though – I spent many hours researching, and decided those would be nice (even without the iBook-matching color scheme, it's apparently a genuinely good set of speakers in terms of sound quality). That's really about it. I asked my aunt to buy me The Elements of Style, which I bet nobody here cares about (writing style).

Happy birthday, man! So that's what, 3 years now that we've known each other? I still remember our first PM conversation (though I don't have it any more, pity).
Yup, I vividly remember it, but unfortunately I haven't kept it either :guilty: (you know, if it weren't for DudebustaÂ… ever thought of thanking him for spurring that conversation? :D). I think I've told you I even wrote an essay about it.

Nope – grammar. ;) (And conciseness, which I always have trouble with.) We use the book in my AP English class , and I liked it so much I asked for a personal copy for my birthday.

Nice seakers 👍
You're getting really sloppy with your spelling lately...

Nice speakers anyhow, Sage. :p

I will admit it's a little odd for a 17 year old guy to love books of the kind, but kudos for it. You'll be my boss one day, so I'll be good.

What'd you do for the big day, anyway? Did you go for your license (or some form of it)?

My family went out to dinner (I wasn't even expecting that – we're a very avoid-dining-out kind of family). And, um, I've already had my license for quite a while now… ;) (U.S. = 16)

Shut up Jimmy, lol, I haven't been bothering to check what I'm typing lately...

Well, it's 16 over here, but that's our Learner's License, and we have to drive with someone else in the car. You can move on to Provisional License at 17, which means you can drive on your own. That's freedom. That's what everyone looks forward to here. :D

Strunk and White! Cool! That's a great book. The speakers look good, too.

Cheers-

Sorry but I just had to do this! :D

Woopsie! I saw this thread yesterday but didn't have the time to post a reply :(.

Anyway, it sounds like you've enjoyed yourself, so happy birthday :)!

Well, that's what I was saying ;) – in the U.S., you're free when you're 16 (you get your permit ["Learner's License"] at 15 1/2).
