Cheers all 👍
I didn't think anyone would notice. All is much appreciated.
I'm finally now legally old enough to drive on the roads , and am just waiting for my provisional to come through .
It's great though the night of my bday and im working .
Anywayz thanks all again
Muwhahahahha. Great isn't it.
It's not the car you've got to be worrying about, it's the insurance that's the killer!
I was hoping to have my first driving lesson today , but no not to be.
That's cheap. I tried a student specialist insurance company the other day and the quoted me £3000 on a nissan Micra (third part fire and theft *shakes head*). Though I'm currently looking at a 1.4 Clio or 106, and if I take my pass plus, it should be about £800 .
Ouch. You have to remember my mum is 42 and has 10 years no-claims bonus, protected so it doesn't matter. I think the insurance would be something like £1400. Im doing a modern apprenticeship so hopefully I'll have enough money for a decent car. A Clio 16V is tempting, but its gonna be expensive. I might try getting an E30 BMW 320i or 325i. Thet're pretty fast and can be tuned a bit too.
You see, I can barely afford to run the Clio. I'm gonna have to pay for every thing myself . But just one thing.....you lucky bastiege , if you do the get the BMW.
It'll all be out my pocket. If I can get an apprenticeship at Esso at Fawley, they pay for my driving lessons and test, and I should be able to save up about £2000 or £3000 by next February, since it starts this September.
