I dove into the new year with fireworks and a good dark Belgian beer. Not realizing the beer contained 11% alcohol as opposed to the 3% I expected, I drank it a little too fast and it got to my head but otherwise I'm fine :lol: We just finished watching District 9 now, we never do epic stuff on Newyear's eve, but considering we had a loss in the family on Christmas day, all in all this was a nice way to end the year 👍

Anybody going to watch Travis Pastrana in the Red Bull jump tonight on ESPN at around 11?
 
Good, I was hoping I'd get a few more viewers for them :lol:. I have to admit, Travis seems like one of the nicest people you can meet. One of the nicest and one of the craziest. Hopefully he can pull this jump off without any trouble.

Lots of fireworks, dogs got scared and ran inside. Fireworks only lasted for about 3 minutes and there's lots of buildings blocking the most of it :grumpy:

Right as it turned 12 it started raining wicked hard. Went outside for the first smoke of 2010 and it sounds like there's mortars going off.

On another random note I was listening to Touch Me by The Doors at the same time and when it hit 12 and started raining the lyric "till the heavens stop the rain" played. Not today Jim Morrison.
 
Biiig rain was here as it hit '10. Funny enough one of my favourite songs, Radar Love started playing on the radio as soon as it hit 12. Coincidence? ...:)

Wasn't that cool? And he landed it perfectly too. I really expected it to go off without a hitch though. But that jump is almost 4 hours old for me already. :lol:
 
What did travis jump? I heard zilch about it over here in Aus. :(
