Don't waste your time on the gym - go to the swimming pool: at least that's the closest you will get to see the hotties naked :sly:

Well, you *could* go to the women's dressing rooms. You'd fit in well enough :sly:.

If not there then you could always go to the Brass Rail, Zanzibar, or any other good strip joint in your area :p

If you're looking for happiness in a strip club, you're definitely in the wrong place.

The problem with that is in order to not look out of place, I would have to have my shirt off and expose everyone to my spare tire and otherwise rather grotesque body. Chicks in spandex in the gym are good enough, and then I don't have to embarrass myself.

I am not good at camouflage :indiff:
Plus I would have to grow a pair of jugs and get rid of that bulge that I have in my private area... I don't think I would manage to blend in very well :D

There is always a readily cheap (most of the time, free) substitute for that ;)
Starts with a 'P' and ends with an 'N' ;)

Plus here where I live - I am literally in the middle of nowhere (Mississippi) - strip joints are not... as common as Walmarts... yeah, let's put it that way ;)

I exercise pretty often - My first semester in this Campus (Spring 2004 - exactly a year ago) I used to go swimming for at least 45-60 minutes, three times a week.
I am oriented toward restarting this trend this semester - as last semester school was taking most of my time and making me too lazy/tired to do anything else...

I went back tonight, the first time since last May - water is my natural element, and I can't even describe how good/relaxed I feel after 20 or so laps in the swimming pool :sly: - it takes away all the stress that you accumulate during the day - and trust me, I get plenty of it ;)

By the end of the semester I want to reach the goal of doing at least 40 or 50 laps per session, without too much stopping/resting at all...

Maybe by then... women will start looking at me in a different way ;) :D

When you don't have a girlfriend, every day is capable/has the potential of feeling like a S.A.D. - a.k.a. Valentine's Day :indiff:

Hell No! Especially when I go over to a friends house and see what they have to go thru (sometimes stuck with)

I think part of it is that I went from taking care of my grandma (because my aunt the "caregiver" had a heart attack) to going to school today and being near some chicks.

Good for you! I wish I could swim that well. I don't dare go into a pool for fear of drowning (not because I can't swim, but because I am so out of shape). I have just started going to the gym for the first time since college (2 years) and I've been playing a lot of raquetball in order to try and get back in shape. I need to play a game to take my mind off how much I HATE excercising.

I used to absolutely love swimming... but now I have so much hair on my back that it's pretty embarrasing 👎

LOL! :D
Yeah, I am that lazy, too... ;)

I would like to go to the gym, in my college fitness center... but it's always full of guys (and girls, of course) at any given time of the day... and since I am pretty out of shape (not in the sense that I am fat, but in the sense that my muscle mass amounts to pretty much... well, zero) I would be pretty embarassed lifting amount of weights that compared to what the other people are lifting are miniscule :indiff: :D

About having to play a game in order to make yourself exercise, I can see that happening to me too, as I am generally lazy/tired/stressed all the time (but I think that comes from my courses overload and from the fact that I don't sleep enough - 5 hours average every night is not enough for me to feel like wanting to exercise the next day ;))

But for me going swimming is not exercising - it's having fun :D If I had a (natural) way of breathing underwater, I could literally live in water 24/7... I have been swimming since I was 3 or 4 year old :sly:

lots of stuff

I am hoping to get into decent enough shape by playing raquetball and lifting to be able to start swimming. I am a scuba diver and I want to start wreck diving and cave diving, but you have to be in good shape to do it (the less air you consume, the better) but now this conversation has really gotten off topic.

v-day is gone (thank god) so now everyone can go on with their lives (or try to recover from the expenses if they have a girlfriend).

True...
Enough with the off-topic-ness ;) :D
A moderator should just come here and lock this thread ;) hint hint

Eh, whatever, it's a mass-market guilt driven holiday anyway.

On the topic of getting fit, which this clearly was going, I just have to work on losing like 5 or so lbs, from 165ish to around 160. I already do lifting, aerobics, ect... but that last fiver is stubborn.

After that, I might go about getting some more living done, definatly going to a concert, like a ska show or something, or mabey even do some skydiving one day, all to shake off that feeling of dooming lonely.
