Do you have something against things being centered Jordan
Here in Kentucky we left justify.

<looks around at paperwork on my desk>

Yep, it's all left justified.

Just the way things should be.

Agreed, I was never crazy about the centering of all the user info (back in 2004 or so), since the message part of the forum is left-justified.

Out of curiosity, Metar, if you posted in Hebrew, would it automatically right-justify, or would you have to set things up in your OS or would you have to manually format it to do so?

Depends on the program. In MSWord and HTML, assuming it's already configured for right-to-left writing, it automatically right-justifies...

Also slightly on the topic of justification, some of the location fields are having to wrap around to another line such as with YSSMAN, Dave A and Azuremen. Anybody else think this looks a little tacky?

I'll have to say that things seem to be running slower for me. Pages are loading slow enough that I may switch back to less posts per page. I am using IE7 as somebody mentioned being slow. I can confirm that.

I'm using IE7 at work and the only slow down I have is occasionally when I click on Quote it will load on a blank screen for a few seconds.

When did you change colors?

For some odd reason it now reloads everyones avatars everytime I view a different thread which means it takes longer to load.. Firefox

I miss the Globe Logo..... please bring it back! :indiff: and I miss centered profiles.

My usual routine is to run through my subscribed threads and open each of them in a new tab as I start up in the morning. By the time I get to open the last tab the first one has finished loading. I now could open the same amount of new threads and the first one at times is still blank. I could live with it but I thought it was worth mentioning because it had previously been brought up.

Since the new forum color is now more on the cool side I thought a different color would be easier on the eyes. Maybe not so much contrast. I've never chosen colors to make my posts stand out, but rather to make it possibly easier to read. It could be just all in my head.

I've seen that happen a couple times. But it also happened from time to time on GTP8.

And myself.

It does look a little bit tacky, but I can fix that by using NZ instead of New Zealand. Not sure if other people could do the same though :|

Everytime I log in, I have to change the skin to GTP Default (Full) I know it's not the biggest hassle, but was wondering if there is a way to always have it set to that skin.

Other than that, it's all good. 👍

You just have to find the skin option under My GTPlanet, set it, then save it.

I can definitely confirm that there is a speed issue with Internet Explorer on the "Default" skins, which feature the right hand column. It's actually a rendering issue due to the way IE7 handles tables. This will be addressed in an update very soon (GTP9.1, if you will...).

I actually find your text harder to read with a lighter color - contrast is generally considered to be a good thing when attempting to make printed words more legible.

any chance on getting the last post information put back on the subscribed threads list that comes up when you click "show all subscribed threads"?

wasn't expecting that quick of a response, thanks Jordan I know a lot of members were wondering about that.

Sorry if someone has mentioned this before (don't really want to read 13 pages of posts) but whenever I log-in onto the main Forums page, it says that the last post in this thread was made by me... but was actually made by 'land sea air'. Not a biggy, but I thought it was worth a mention.

It was probably just an old cached version of the page, everything is fine on my end. Let me know if it keeps happening, and if the information is incorrect even after a page refresh.

Bug found! My 'My GTPlanet' page has posts and threads mixed up. I'm subscribed to the Local Gatherings forum, and I'm seeing that the forum has 5399 threads with 44 posts total. :ouch::lol:

Jordan, maybe you missed this post. Does anyone else have this?

Yes, I can confirm the mislabeled columns. It's fixed along with several other minor bugs in GTP9.1, which I will be releasing in a few days.

Sorry if thus has been posted before, but i just noticed the Game guides forum is gone. Is this true?

Just wanted to say "Thanks" again for the GTP9. I understand that you are always looking to improve the gtplanet.:D

I must say I was quite surprised when I logged on last night to see an updated GTP. I will admit I wasn't sure if I'd like it at first but its growing on me. Don't take that in a bad way Jordan. It does look great and you did a damn fine job on it as always. :D

Yes, this is true. Users can now register their own accounts on the Wiki software, so there is really no need for the dedicated forum.

I don’t know if this is supposed to happen, but I logged out, logged into my non-mod test account, logged out, then logged back into my Sage account, and the style had been reset to Default instead of Default (Full).

Been a while since I've frequented GTP (since version 6, I believe...whoa!) but I really like this version, Jordan. The Full Default theme is a nice option for the 'Veteran' non-premium members, too.

Really a nice job overall 👍
