It didn't when the game first came out, but it does since 1.05.
Mileage doesn't start to really ramp up until you grind enduro's in b-spec. The X2010 helps. I have found that on La Sarthe 24hours, in an LMP my bob will cover around 2800 miles in 24 hours, in the X2010 he covers nearly 4300. That's an extra 1500 miles a race over a 'normal' car.
but more than that the mileage is some kind of status symbol in the game and it should only count a-spec miles since this is the mode YOU have to drive yourself and spend time in cockpit.
