Has anyone ever worn women's jeans because your too skinny?

Just asking a question because I have. I am a straight, heterosexual male. I asked this question because it is hard to find jeans that fit me...I am 5'7'', 140 lbs. My waist size is a 29 and it is really hard to find jeans that fit me correctly. Levi's are cut way too long in the leg, they don't make a 29x29 or 30x29. I've gotten jeans hemmed before but I do not like paying $10 to have a brand new pair of jeans all cut up to fit before I wear them. Gap jeans have the perfect leg length but they are too baggy in all the wrong spots, I hate having to pull up my pants when I am walking, I feel like a thug. I had to cut three extra holes in my belt just so my belt will fit me, and I bought the smallest belt that will fit an adult male.

I was horrified of trying to buy the jeans in the store, I was so embarrassed, I actually looked online first and tried to convert men's size to women's size so I could find the right size, and I found that a size 8 will fit me, and it does, so I bought a pair online without any feminine stitching or embroidery, just plain back pockets which doesn't look bad at all. They were Levi's bootcut jeans, not skinny jeans, no way will I ever wear skinny jeans but I know I can fit into them.

You know what? They were the best fitting pair of jeans I have ever owned. EVER. Not loose, not tight, leg length was perfect, no designs on the pocket or anything. Walked around for one week in them and not a single person (that I was able to observe or hear) said a single thing to me. The only thing that sucks about them is that the pocket is only half as deep as men's jeans and the fly is so small (we know why). It is not all constricting and tight on space down there either, the jeans have some stretch to them so they fit good around the crotch area, no huge bulging or any of that stuff. I still have them and wear them once in a while but I wish men's jeans would fit that way.

I'd say go for it if they fit right and don't look weird. Keep looking for mens pants also though, they're out there. I'm almost 6'1 and weigh 135, and I do alright. You must have a damn good build to be that much shorter than me, weigh more, and have a smaller waist. :P

Damn...some of you guys are skinny as hell, I thought I was thin. There are jeans out there that fit but I don't spend more than $40 on a pair jeans. I don't buy designer jeans either, that's a little overkill.

I wear jeans year round, even during the summer, so I rip through them pretty quickly. It is just hard finding a good fitting pair of pants nowadays.

My jean size is 30x30 and they still feel a bit baggy for me (even skinnys) :P I agree, they need more smaller jean sizes for dudes.

It's unfortunate that clothes of late are designed for fat people. There's no support for skinny people like us who would love to gain weight (and try really hard to) but just can't quite get there. Sizeists.

Pssh, I'm 6'1" 110 lbs. And I too, wear means jeans. Though I usually don't wear jeans in the first place, at least not denim. I don't like them.

Go eat a cheese burger. Seriously, before someone mistakes you for a javelin and throws you across a football field.

Unfortunately, a lot of people nowadays are fat, hence the fat clothes.

I'm not having any problems, mainly because all the jeans recently have been tailored for tall, skinny people. I'm fairly tall (for my age anyway) and pretty skinny.

I'm 5'6" and 130-ish. I get all my jeans from Wal-Mart (Faded Glory brand) and never have issues finding stuff that fits. But I like loose jeans so it depends on your style?

I have it the other way around. I don't really like the bagginess of the jeans but I hate that I can't get my hand into the damn pockets. For reference I'm 6'1 and 190 pounds. I'm not fat, I'm just big and have pretty big thighs so I wear swatpants because they're the definition of comfortable.

I'm 6'2" and I weight 175 pounds. The best pants I've found is Levi's SilverTab. A bit baggy but they are comfortable and I wear my pants all season. I've worn the pants when I weighed in at 190 pounds so even then they were still easy to wear and were easy to use the pockets. So no I'm not that skinny but I'm working on it. I want to get rid of the belly which has been around me for such a long time. I have 33x36 jeans due to the fact I'm tall and I have a wide waist.

TFG.

I haven't worn women's jeans before, just to clear the record.

And their silhouette doesn't look good on guys either. Neither do super skinny jeans. Don't really get why they are so popular, unless you want to advertise you have small equipment, as you aren't going to fit in them other wise :dopey:

I have no problems finding the right jeans and I'm 6ft and have a 29 waist. Levi's fit fine, Gap fit perfectly, Lee's fit great and Wrangles too.

I don't see where your problem is. Unless you like wearing girls jeans?

I would like to experiment wearing skinny shorts that go down your legs by hardly four inches, to see what is so important or why girls where shorts that short that almost reveal the girl's... through the leg holes. It would hurt sitting down, by the way. Walking around public with those things on, letting people see their barely completely bare legs.
Don't get me wrong, it is a nice sight to stimulate the manly senses, but walking around in public with those pants equipped... I don't think so.

Well, there is fit on your body and then actually fit, do keep that in mind.

Alternatively, you could always:
Find the relevant Youtube clips; invest in a cheap sewing machine; invest a little time, and make your own, bespoke. Immense satisfaction to be had.

I'm from London, so I think nothing unusual about men in women's attire, and frankly I wouldn't notice if they were just women's jeans. There's always going to be people of non-standard shapes/fits. Whatever works for you. 👍

Having the genetic curse of hips that are much wider than my waist, I either get jeans that are hellaciously tight around the crotch and just right everywhere else, or settle for baggy.

Women's jeans... perhaps if most women's jeans didn't look like women's jeans, I would, but I settled for tight crotch instead.

Then I got fat again, and found that all my jean troubles disappeared that way. Extra wide is extra wide, whatever gender you are. :D

Some of you guys are pretty tall, so your height gives you a definite advantage.

I'm 5'10 and my weight fluctuates wildly from 130 to 160 constantly and at no particular weight have I ever had a problem finding jeans. They make an insane number of cuts and sizes now and I'm not sure why your running into such trouble.

LOL you beat me to it.

That's seriously underweight dude, add some more protein to your diet and start lifting a little.

I'm 5'8 150lbs with a 30 inch waist and I have never really had a problem finding jeans.

Dude, I'm 5 ft 8 inches and was 60 kilos (135 lbs) at one point, due to all the swimming I used to do. Slim and fit I was... (currently 64 kilos now, no more swimming).

All the jeans generally fitted me, as I had a waist size of 30 inches or thereabouts. Only real problem was the leg length for me, kinda needed a 30-30 or a 30-32, depending on the brand.

I guess you may just be a bit choosy with the jeans, which is fine. Basically, just wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, but generally, jeans are generally quite easy to fit in. Although there are so many different cuts of jeans nowadays.

Maybe try out many different stores and see what designs you require? Trying out the standard fit may not be the way to go for you, you may need a more specialised fit, such as skinny fits, bootcuts, flares, hipsters, whatever they're called.

An answer the original question, some people around here wear them. I where skinnies (I have a black, blue, grey, purple and white) but I wouldn't wear womens ones as I (wrongly) get called gay enough as it is...
