Confirms what most of us already know, Logitech support on ps4 is highly unlikely to happen.
Good read 👍
True consumer scam it stays, because even if they provide some sort of a solution it will end up in hundreds of dollars /euros extra costs, for people that already made a investment purchasing a last gen wheel...

“It's a possibility,” Jackermeier said. “But looking at the balance sheet of Thrustmaster, I'm not sure they're in a position to do that. Would Sony do that for money? I think it's a more complex issue. It could be even that Kazunori Yamauchi is involved and he says only Gran Turismo-licensed wheels should be supported. Or whatever. It's some policy thing internally. I can only speculate. There's no reason given either to me or the public.
Thanks Kaz! :D

Tricky for me as I don't see myself buying a console and driving game if there's no wheel. And by that I mean I'm interested in Forza and Gran Turismo and only want one wheel. I don't want a T300 and a THX wheel, and to unbolt each one everyday, absolutely ridiculous situation. I don't like being forced to choose a PS4 or Xbox One so I'll probably buy neither in the short to mid term. I can't justify spending £300 on a console and only play the game with a joypad, I have to be able to play games like Forza and GT with a wheel unless much later they're dirt cheap.

I can see something getting sorted when GT7 and Forza 6 arrive. Fanatec's current proposal is good with buying the wheel rims on a V2 base but the cost is astronomical. I need a multiplatform wheel in the £250-400 mark all in.

Would be nice to have my G25 or PWTS work with PS4 but Sony is seemingly blocking that so I 'll stick with PC. I don't mind buying a new wheel as long as its decent and works with PC, XBO and PS4 though.

Please someone (Logitech, Sony, Thrustmaster) sort this out. Steering wheels are niche products and exclusivity just makes things worse

Right they are out of the wheel business. I highly recommend the Thrustmaster T100 - $125 w/ free shipping @ B&H Foto

The Thrustmaster T100 wheel works on the PS4, but only within the game. On the PS4-Dashboard you have to navigate with the DS4. And if you want to use the share-function you have to press it on the controller as well. Theres no remapping of those buttons.

But at least its a pretty good deal to buy this wheel, with nice FF, for 80EUR

I'm going to buy a Thrustmaster T80 until GT7 comes out in late 2015 or early 2016, then I will get a T300RS for $399.99, because I don't have the PS4 system yet, but I have until March 17 2014 that's when Project Cars come out, I don't want to have to use the DS3 and Racing Wheel together, I'm just picky like that.

PS3 wheels are compatible with PS4. It was already posted in this thread.
This post came from someone who tested it and commented

You realize the T80 has no FFB, uses a bungee cord system and is only 200 degrees of rotation? Throw some elastics on the DS4 and it's about the same.:sly:

LOL, It is an upgrade for me, I have been using the HKS Hypermax III Racing Controller, for years because I knew the Logitech G27 would not be compatible with the PS4, If I already had A PS4 I would definitely purchase A Thrustmaster T300 RS, but I have to get both, and A Wheel stand, so for now I have to make the sacrifice So I can play Project Cars, and If Project Cars is as good as it looks on Youtube, I will make the T300RS the next purchase for it. The T80 and Wheel stand should be here 12/10/2014, It only cost $79.00 only $20.00 more than a DS4, I'll comment once I get it.

Coming from the G27 it would be weird to play with bungee cords but I suppose you get used to it. Word of warning on the T300, I was stoked about it myself and considered getting it and upgrading from the G27 but I'm reading about a lot of issues with it in the various forums including GTP. So I'm definitely putting off purchasing it until they do some revisions in manufacturing taking into account what seems like a high number of defectives to me.

If you want to see how good Project Cars really looks, download some videos from Gamersyde. They have direct capture 60fps videos, some from the PS4 and it's dramatically better in the direct capture vs. the compressed Youtube version, even at 60fps. This is only 30fps but they are network commercial quality work, as are all the Jonz videos:

http://www.gamersyde.com/hqstream_project_cars_nurburgring_1-31924_en.html 60fps This is the first direct download I watched and the one that convinced me to take a serious look at PC gaming. Youtube does not do it justice.

Just received an Email from thrustmaster.

Regarding your T100 FFB.

We thank you for your interest in Thrustmaster products and for reaching us regarding your inquiry.

The T100 FFB was designed as PS3 compliant gaming device:

http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/products/t100-force-feedback-racing-wheel

http://ts.thrustmaster.com/download/accessories/Manuals/T100FFB/T100_FFB_Manual.pdf

To be able to use the unit on the PS4 console you need to first check with the game developer. The unit cannot be used on the menu PS4 console as it is not detected. But if the game developer (like in the case of DriveClub and Project Cars) decides to include support for this particular wheel model then you are able to use it.

Regarding the use of the unit on the PS4 console:

- For a better FFB we recommend to deactivate the auto-center of the wheel. For this press the FORCE BUTTON = F on the wheel (the led must not blink!)

- In the menu of the console the wheels calibrate but stick to the left side, forcing the FFB motor. We strongly recommend to plug the wheel to the PS4 once the game is started!!!

- Launch the game with the gamepad

- ONLY after the game is launched, connect the wheel to the console (the wheel will auto-calibrate)
Play!
