You see a thread and say hey I'm going to post in here. Than as your typing up this amazing story or whatever as soon as your done and press send it says you can't this thread has been locked. Literally got locked when I was typing my story lol. So disappointing.

Well... I was responding to someone's post once, and the thread had been deleted. Does that count?

Yeah but of the time it is posting links and telling the OP that this thread exists.

At times it when a child ranting about how they hate some track because they can't drive on it at night or with the shuffle car they have been given and when I just tell them "keep at it" it gets locked/deleted.

It's happened once before...I don't frequent that section of the forum any longer.

It hasn't happened to me yet, and before you tell me that I don't frequent the GT5 sub-forum Daniel, I spend most of my time there.

That's because you don't frequent the GT5 Forum :sly:

 Good point. I just stick mainly to the Rumble Strip, and GT5 Photomode forums.

You'll get sick of it soon. :sly:

Now that I think about it, this has happened to me at least once in the GT5 section and 3 times in The Rumble Strip (as recently as last week as a matter of fact).

It does frustrate me to an extent when I take the time to make a sizeable post only for the thread to get a big old padlock seconds before I submit my reply, but it's no big deal really.

Never happened to me. I obey the no-IBTL-post rule. :sly:

Oh, wait. Is this thread gonna get locked????

I bet it will happen in this thread

Edit.. seems not quite...

As people have said above, it's usually when some incompetent fool posts in the GT5 Q&A section saying 'give me a Muira' and I go to make a beautiful long posts with links saying its in the wrong forum and it's untradeable, then I click send and I find Famine has locked it so he can have the satisfaction of bashing a new member.

Only once, 20 odd line post, that's why I now try and simplify my posts as much as possible.

Wow. It's never happened to me, but that's crazy. But it's totally possible. Anything can happen at one time. Is this an opposite on the infamous "IBTL" style post? Could be considered that, but the IBTL post in intentional, this is just mad luck. I shall refrain from any IBTL jokes, only hoping this thread isn't locked once I post this.

I had that happen to me once. It was especially disappointing because I actually had some big argument structured and ready to go...

A lot more people had this happened to them than I would have guessed. Thought it was going to be just me.

Nope, you're not alone! 👍 This is the internet - I think you're going to have to try harder than that to come up with something that has no equal!

Happened to me quite a lot in my days in the GT5 forum, before I realized this forum existed, and many others.

O ya something with no equal. Have you ever been in a barn coated in oil with two horses, a pig, and a midget... Never mind lol

Probably only once to me, to be honest. I've learned to steer clear of the lock-bait.

I have likely made about 500-1000 posts that I never sent, because it was the verbal equivalent of ripping someone's head off and dumping in their throat. Or it just didn't really make any sense after I typed it. Or it didn't add anything to the thread, on second thought. So there were many times I'd type and type and think, type out a wonderful rebuttal, research, and then read it...and just say to myself..."no, that sucks", and press the back-one-page button.
