You know what else is unbelievable? That we can agree on one point:dopey:, I also think the voice acting is fine and he seems like a decent, nice guy.
 
And even if you don't like him, or his voice, why ranting about it for gods sake?
It's not like that guy is talking hours and hours and you have to listen, there are overall maybe 3 minutes dialog, including the introduction video.
 
I was on the second beginner challenge when suddenly a car clipped my rear and put me straight into the wall (AI still religiously adheres to the racing line, even if it means hitting you). "Remember, the car is heavy." I know the car is heavy, that doesn't seem to be the problem here, Jeff!

After the first comment I hated him.

You know, I just noticed that you guys are posting from Germany, and I think this is an cultural misunderstanding.

Thread like this, and posts in it, this is how we whine sometimes. You guys are reacting to the posts like this is some official complaint, while it's nothing more than a tongue in cheek whaa whaa session. Like when I told my friend that I wanted to kill Jeff Gordon, it was a joke. If I had to guess, he seems like a nice guy. :)
 
I've read tons of similar stupid complains in German boards too, although not about Jeff Gordon's voice. lol Sorry, but I'm just annoyed from all the moaning.

I didn't actually find golding these too tricky. Just about keeping the car steady and consistent. You earn TONS of cash at the end too.

The daytona outside line is a challenge. I keep getting 12.213 I need to knock off .013 seconds. I might need a wheel to do that.

Edit nevermind just got a 13.188. Switch to the hood cam. And get close to those cones. Be smooth

I don't hate NASCAR but I hate the third challenge, how come with the joy pad
I can get silver in a couple of go's on 1,2 & 4 but just cannot get the car round for 3 really hacking me off as I know it should not be that hard.

it was tough for me and I'm a nascar vet. U cant wiggle the joystick to much. Make sure as u come off 2 ur as low as possible. Hood cam not bumper cam . Right tires on that white striped line
 
on the second challenge(which reminds me of mission 23 from GT4) i got tapped by the computer, which made me flip, & i got told to drive carefully
 
Yeah, if anything, you come out of this things with a superior control of the left analog stick. :lol:

I finally decided to go after a DF GT wheel. I hate those things, but I think I'm gonna have to.

I'm also driving old cars without ABS by the way, awesome challenge.
 
Does anyone else get the idea that Jeff really didn't put much effort into his lines? I know its hard to act to no one but he says his things in a way that seems to lack any kind of engagement. Or maybe that's just how he talks in real life but it just seems poor to the point the NASCAR stuff would in my opinion be better without him because like this topic says his voice overs are just incredibly lame and after failing the xth time trying to drive that brick of a car I just want to weep. :nervous::indiff::sick::crazy:

I get tired of saying it, but I suck at this Gran Turismo. I have since GT4.

In this NASCAR thing, they really test consistent, smooth control of the steering. Don't get me wrong, bronze was easy, silver I don't remember being bad either. Control was hard to accomplish with the stick though, for Gold. Again, I'm an average racer at very best. :D

The Nascar events were very easy with the wheel! But I believe that it must be pretty hard with the pad!

Is it me or is it the easiest GT game so far? It was pretty hard in GT4 to get most licenses in gold and finish the missions... But in GT5 the licenses are easy and also the special events so far... Ok the AMG DS is a bit harder as the rest got only silver there...

Ok I´ve finished B, A and IC so far, lets see how hard the rest is :D

I'd like to give credit to the new, (to me)improved physics, but I think you are right. I waited for GT4 like we all waited for GT5, and when the game finally came out, challenge factor was too high for my liking, I quit playing it, prematurely.

GT5, I feel like I can actually hang with the big boys. :)

whow! The is offensive of so any levels! And wrong on so many levels, not only are japenese engilsh dubs for the most part dubbed by americans, you just displayed extremely racist behaviour. That is so not cool. Get off these forums. 'Japanese' also made the nissan GT-R and GT5, but thats not half as important as how ignorant you are. Tempted to quote monty pyton mother and father slags but I dont think you'll understand.

Don't worry about being to low in turn 1 you almost have to diamond the turn...be a little high in the middle and arc it down going into 2. Play chicken with those cones. I need a wheel. Amazon is sold out of g27 last I checked. No doubt because of this game

Absolutely, how come my rubbish 2.5 tonne pick up with rubbish tyres is not much better. No wonder they don't export USA motorsport that much.
