Post if you have Doom 3. Also, post your settings.

I have it and run it on High Quality @ 1024x768 with 2x AA. I run the 4.9b Catalyst Doom 3 drivers on my R9800pro. I only have 512MB DDR400, so I have to endure long loading times, sometimes 3-5 minutes... :(

UPDATE! I found out I can run it well at 1024x768!

yep....lowest settings due to my video card (32mb....hehehehe) and 512 ram.

still looks incredible too.

Currently running it @ 1024*768 on medium settings. Getting a pretty healthy framerate with only occasional slowdown.

Was running it @ 1024*768 in high before, but decided I'd prefer some extra fps & graphics dont look much different anyway. Love the grenade shockwave effect :D

Running Cat 4.7 on my Radeon 9800 NP clocked to pro speeds. Damn this warm muggy air, even when my comp is idling gfx card is roasting.

Yup 👍

Running at 1152x864 with HQ setting...

Running the Cat. 4.9 beta drivers - gave a slight boost, and increased the picture quality ever so slightly...

yep got it on last sunday, and i love it especially wen the lights turn off and your left in the dark to fend of a hord of zombies or imps. :)

running @ 1024*768 medium settings and with the cache tweak running ive upped the frame rate so its very good.

system running is

win 2000 pro sp4
epox mobo
amd 2100
1024mb ddr pc2700 ram
gf4 ti 4600 (not overclocked)

Heh medium seems to be the most popular :) I run it too as the difference with High isnt worth the fps.

P4 3ghz
512ram
FX 5200(gag) OC @ 290/475 mhz.

Ultra setting would run if i had say 1gig of ram. it chuggs every few steps to load. I've never seen this on my Pc's since the days of Quake running on a 16mb machine then upgrading to 32mb wiped out the chugging.

Not yet. I plan to get soon. After I get a 9200. Yeah, I can't get no 9600 cause my computer is a PCI interface.

I predict that Ill run on 640x480 on a mix of low and medium settings at an FPS of anywhere between 15-30.

I would like to get this game for the PC. I dont play many games on the PC but this would a game I would consider. How is it so far? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm running Doom 3 at High Detail at 1024 X 768. It runs extremely smoothly for the most part except for if I play for five hours straight. Then I need a reboot to clear my computer's ram and videocard memory.

The game itself is a blast to play. It's extremely scary because enemies will pop out when you least expect it. However, I'm somewhat able to predict what could be a trap that causes enemies to spawn or not now.

I haven't had a chance to try out multiplayer yet.

My setup to run Doom 3 is:
1.7 Ghz Athlon XP
1 Gig Ram
Radeon 9600XT OC with Overdrive feature to 526 mhz w/ 4.7 Catalyst Drivers

I'm going to eventually buy myself some Logitech Z-680's to replace my poorly performing Creative Lab 5200 speakers.

My setup for D3 is:
Athlon XP 1800 (1.5 Ghz)
512 MB Ram
Geforce 4 Ti4600 128MB

I can play at 1024x768 on medium. When I first installed it it was at 800x600 at medium. I found a tweak that allowed me to go up one in resolution. Still at medium quality though.

Altered my setup a bit, altered that cache thing as mentioned on www.planetdoom.com, to help against the 'jerk' going into some rooms along with boosting gfx to high settings, reducing resolution to 800*600 but adding 2x AA.

And its actually running faster & looks better :D

this game rocks with sennheiser headphones too.

god bless my senn's.

how does it work w/ 512 Mb of ram and a 32 mb vid card? that is what my new computer will have. and how much HD space does it take up?

2.2 gigs of space - It'll run on a 32Meg card, but you'll probably be limited to LQ and 800x600 with some candy turned off...

What chip is on the GFX card ?...

I have no idea.....
If it's a GeForce4 (not MX) 4200 or above you should be fine, or a Radeon 9500 and up - if it's some crappy onboard GFX chip - you're basically screwed and will need another card....

No. Not exactly.

It depends on what kind your graphics card is. In fact,

Go Start>Run>Type in "dxdiag" with out the quotes. Then hit the display tab when done. In the upper left corner, you should find out what your graphics card is. Tell us here, then we can tell you if it will run Doom 3.

He don't have it yet you dumbass :D

That wiil probably be what I do first, but the only new game I have purchased for the computer is KOTOR, but I wanted to wait for Doom 3 until I knew it would work on the machine. But, I should get the computer in a few days or so. got it off of www.ecost.com
