I start: :sly:

I've been running in Montmeló (Barcelona) Spain.

Nice thread and pictures :)

However you may want to ask a moderator to move this to one of the automotive forum sections, where it is better suited.

Also, Welcome to GTP 👍

I have, a couple of times... while doing photoshoots...

 but it's a pain in the butt, especially if the straights are too long... I always end up walking by the time I get back to the pits. I usually just do my photography from the passenger seat.

I do run the car on the track from time to time, but family obligations and the cost of travel prevent me from doing it often. And timed events always cook something. Always. Whether its a clutch, brakes, or coolant... 90% of my car upgrades are just to prevent track damage, not to make the car faster. We only have two tracks here, both used for the local Asian Formula Three from time to time, but without the run-off and safety equipment to qualify for faster FIA events.

I'm sorry, I still do not know the different sections. 💡 I was searching the correct section and I only found this off topic. :)

For me it is not a problem to move the post to the correct section. 👍

This night (European night :D) I'll post more pictures.

If it counts for anything, I've taken my bike around the Adelaide street circuit, all apart from the section running over the Victoria Park horse track... And I completely forgot about our lap around Bathurst (it's a public road so it was no where near a hot lap) at the end of '07.

We drove through the Clipsal street circuit once when we were in Adelaide... :)

Yes, the local circuit is the same one from top gears first america challenge

I've also gone to the go kart track there when they let street cars in. I'll be honest and say the go kart track is more fun and only costs $40 compared to a coupple hundred for the full track.

I do want to try the new course as it has been revamped to FIA regulations and is more technical.

Unfortunately there aren't any circuits remotely close to where I live. I'd probably have to go north to Joliet to the Autobahn course.

The nearest one here is the street circuit in Adelaide (which is just a public road when it's not being used, so normal road rules apply) that's 200km away from where i live, other than that, the closest is probably Bathurst which is about 1000km away.

So far, I haven't gotten the chance to. Closest place that I know of is about 70 miles away from here, but I'm not 100% sure if it's open to the public.

Someday, however, I want to run the Nurburgring.

. I've driven around the Mount Panorama, Bathurst circuit. But obviously road rules apply, so it's a 50km/h speed limit I think. Still, it's amazing to see how steep the track is in real life. Looks way different on TV.

I've been around Grattan Raceway a bunch of times...

1) On my bicycle, used to be a part of a cycling series of 100+ riders who go 40+ miles on the track on Wednesday nights.

2) With CAMAROBOY69, in his 1969 Camaro SS. Epic fun to be had.

I'll try to find some of my cycling photos if I can...

========

Otherwise, I believe there are a few open track days this summer that I may try to bring the Celica out to. Nothing too special, or too fast, just to get a feel for it (it is my daily driver after all!).

There's also Mallala and Adelaide International Raceway (I'm sure no track days or anything in general happens at AIR though) which would be slightly closer to you.

Drags and speedway are being held at AIR, also sometimes some drifting demos on the banked corner.

I haven't been to a proper track, per se.

But I have been to a couple trackdays at the local oval track (with some kinks thrown in for fun).

A proper track would be a several hundred dollar day, as a ferry ride and hotel would be required. Plus entry fees, and a small contingency for cooking something on the car.

One of the biggest tracks around, it offers a lot of variations.

Been on Texas Motor Speedway as well.

Or Speedway City if that counts, went there a few weeks ago. That would be fun racing there one day. *dreams* :D

That's the track I was talking about, actually. I wondered if they just opened the place up to the public for a couple hours a day, Ring-style, but it looks like they just have a couple open track days during the summer. Maybe I'll show up to one; the track looks fun.

I have been running at Grattan Raceway and Gingerman Raceway since 2004 in my 69 Camaro. It was a blast a couple years ago when YSSMAN rode with me.
I have well over 100 videos and several hundred pics of my 69 Camaro on that track.

There's a photo of me driving a Max5-spec MX-5 at an airfield trackday also, but I can't find it readily so claim that an airfield trackday isn't a "real" circuit. :D

Is this Ferrari yours??

Well, I would like to run in an airport, it is less dangerous. I love British circuits, for instance, that have grass next to the track.

Montmeló is a F1 MotoGP FIA circuit and it has rocks next to the track!! If you get off the road your can damage your car a lot. :indiff:

I love muscle cars, they are very rare in Spain (Europe). Your Camaro is hot! 👍👍👍
