Has anyone out side of Japan ever heard of the Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ 89? why did PD include such obscure cars in GT5 but exclude worldwide classics like the Ford Escort mk2 which won more rally events than any other car?

I have heard of it, I love it to bits.. These are the cars that make GT5 special..

Obscure to people like you. Not to other parts of the world. The Escort is obscure like the Minica in other parts of the world. Remember when GT1 came out in North America? No one's heard of Skylines and Imprezas until then. Same thing going on here.

Licensing.

To get a car in the game they need to:

• Have heard of it.
• Want it (usually a given)
• Get a licence for it
• Get an example to model
• Get it modelled

They have to meet ALL of these to get a car in the game. Any one of them results in a car not being in the game. For any car you can possibly imagine.
