My sister grew more than 10cm (4in.) last year and I also have a cousin that grew 15cm(6in) and is over 190cm(6'3'') now while I, among others I know of course, never had any growth spurt and it's highly unlikely that I will since I'm 22.

Funny because the only growth spurt, of sorts, that I can recall was about 2 years ago and that was in "width". My chest and shoulders grew overnight but no height gain. And I'm average at height about 5'9''.

So I was interested how people here have grown. Gradually or with growth spurt(s)? Obviously those of you that are still at puberty can't answer for sure just guess from your parents. That's why I included in the poll your expectations as well.

I'm scraping 6' now, but I didn't start growing until I was 16. I was around 5' 2" until I left school. Came back for 6th form and I'd shot up around 5 inches and put on a stone over that summer. That was pretty rapid, but then my growth has slowed down since then and it hasn't fully stopped yet.

1 stone = 14lb (roughly 6.4kg).

Fnarr! Fnarr!

i had one when i was around about the age of 17 as i remember, but sure on how many inches i grew but i do re-call a big change in my height, i'm currently just over the 6' mark now, about 6'1" or 6'2", haven't measured myself in a long time

I had a real good spurt when I was 15 and went up to 5'9", 16 up to 5'11", 17 up to 6'1", and now at 19 years old my height is almost 6'2". My growth has pretty much slowed down to a crawl and I'm quite happy with my height. Though it was hell in the bus seats.

Nope. I was born 5'11.

Of course I have. I think I grew a good five inches back in 8th grade. I was 5'4, then I was 5'9, and I really wasn't paying attention to when.

I'm currently 5'10 (178cm) tall. I haven't had a growth spurt, as far as I remember. And I don't think I will have one. I'm already taller than my father and mother.

Hm no, not really. Always been quite tall, I think I was 16 or 17 when I reached 1.91m (~6'2) and that's it so far. :p

I'm 31 currently and I haven't gained one ounce or inch since I was 16. In college I did work out a ton and gained about 5 lbs of muscle, but I've since lost it and went right back to my original weight. My metabolism is like a crack addict :| Believe me, I'm not bragging

I'm 17. 6ft 6in. :scared:

First growth spurt was probably when I was around 13, first feet, then the rest.... I wear size 15(UK) Shoes & have always been a fairly active person.
Been eating more recently, not sure if my body is getting ready for a final push.... into orbit.

& One thing's for sure, if the trend continues, i'll need a new bed. :indiff:

Still nobody with a dirty joke on this one?

I was 6'3 (190cm) when I was 13 years old. Pretty sure I grew about 6 inches when I was 12. Hurt all the time. Before I was turned 14, was 6'4. Haven't grown at all since then, and weigh around 175 pounds (80kg) at the moment.

Me in early 2009.

I havent been growing much recently (I'm 15 now) I expect/ hope to grow more in the summer, I used to be quite tallish in my year, now I'm short again :(.

It was 5'1 in Year 8. I'm now in Year 13 and 6'2. I have a terrible posture so for all I know their could be more!

I was around 5'2" in my grade 9 year, and that summer (Summer 2009) I grew 6 in. to 5'8". Then, last summer, I grew another 2in. to 5'10"

I was 5'2" when I was 11, then grew roughly 3 inches a year for 2 years, then 2 more inches the last year, so I was 5'10" when I was 14.

I haven't grown an inch since.

I can't remember how tall I was before I was 13, but I do remember having a growth spurt around that age. My family always seemed to think that I would be as tall as my uncle who is 6'4, but I haven't really grown at all since I was 16. Right now my hight is just under 5'11 (179cm) and I don't really know if i'm going to grow any taller.

I wonder what doctors say it's the norm, if there is one. Continuous sublte growh or spurts?

The poll should also have the option of I can't remember for those of us that are a bit older. :p

Cheers Shaun.

This :)!

And they say we can grow till you hit 25, so you may still grow AlexGTV;)!

I don't think so, I've grown about 2 inches over the past 5 months and still growing, now about 5' 7.5. I'll be turning 16 in October.

Don't know if that counts

Blokes tend to spurt, whereas ladies are more gradual.

(Is that fnar enough for you :sly: )

I just grew 9 inches reading that. :sly:

jk Famine, don't hurt me.

I'm 23 and have had another growth spurt (some sort of biological birthday present). It's just annoying now.

Been kicking most objects with my feet for the last few days, I'm feeling quite speshul of late :D

Maybe. I have been running a lot.

Otherwise, my 'growth' spurt is sideways...

Never noticed it, I get taller gradually. Still short at 5'4.

I don't know if I have, I don't know how tall I was before, or how tall I am now for that matter

I hit 6 foot really quickly when I was around 12/13 and never got any taller after then. that was a long time ago. If I include the growth of my hair, which grows upward instead of downward, in the last two years I guess I could add an extra 5 inches to my height.
