Hey, i just received my PS eye in the mail today and hooked it upto my ps3 asap. I went to the PS eye settings in the game and camera is working perfectly and is tracking my head. So i go into arcade mode making sure i choose only premium cars. Start racing and head tracking is just not working. I move my head left/right, up/down and every other direction in the cockpit but no response at all.

What am i doing wrong?

first off i have my camera about 3 feet away and at eye level. another thing is that your settings needs to be tweeked it didnt work that great out of the box for me. here are my settings

face angle-9
face position-3
face recognition threshold-5
camera exposure- auto
camera sensitivity-auto
face recognition size-100

hope this helps let me know if it does

Same problem here. It should only work in Arcade (don't know why) but even in Arcade it just doesn't do anything. Tried different in-car views with Premium cars only.

Same here. i figured a had to be in the cockpit view of a premium car (not that standard cars would have those *duh*) for it to be active, but it doesn't work.

camera image in the setup looks fine, and the rectangle turns white when my face enters it. i figured that means he is "recognizing" the face.

Anybody got it working?

regards
Max

P.S.: i only tried it in GT-Life mode. have to check arcade.

i don't want to sound like a a hole but please read the in game instructions your answer is there.

There is nothing in the in game manual about playstation eye or head tracking. It would be good if you could just point it out because i cant seem to find it.

Mine works perfectly. And it's proper head tracking. After E3 I was under the impression you had to slide your head left and right to look left/right ingame, but you actually turn your head 👍

you do need a good light source though,I've got this halogen heater in my game space, and that lights me up from behind the camera. It's so accurate it picks up every bit of movment.

Advice on set up,make the face recognition bigger than your head.If the box was in a real world space,it'd be around a foot wider and taller from the centre of my head.

Trust me what I put under the settings and it will work flawlessly Obviously you can't use this in the dark so just turn on your room light and you should be fine

again its in the IN GAME manual as in when your playing GT5 go to the help section in there, it has 93 pages of help. It mentions it will not work with pit stops enabled etc:)
