I can see the peaks of West Glacier almost daily. You can't 'eat' the mountains, but they sure are inspiring to look at. The hiking is great, the waters crystal clear, the bears are hungry....it's all good. :)

Hey Loudmusic, if you haven't started on your trip yet, make sure you visit Las Vegas. Theres the famous Strip, lots of hotels ligned up ina 2 mile long road (Las Vegas Boulevard) Which starts close to the McCarran Airport and ends after passing the Stratosphere. Then theres Fremont Street (aka Downtown Vegas), it also has hotels ligned up , and the road looks like it has a "roof" style decoration, close by is Cashman Field. So basically visit the Strip and Downtown. If you have time go to Reno, they also made something similar to the Vegas strip.

Don't miss the Olympic National Forest. From Port Angeles take a ferry to Victoria and go to Butchart Gardens and enjoy that beautiful city. Those are my suggestions.
I'll second that. Never spent much time in Victoria, though...just a few hours.

There are no good parks like that in AZ. I've never been to Disney Land, but I have been to Disney World, which I hear is better.

You dare to deny the fun of Castles N Costers? BURN IN HELL! The only good thing about that place is the go-carts and even those are boring.

Yeah check out sedona, its a really nice place, go to slide rock and have a picnic (plus the winding roads on the way there are a blast to go tearing through and scare the crap out of people) the rocks have been worn smooth and you can slide down on your ass. Here are some pics from the GC and slide rock: http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=79024877

If your going through Texas why not check out schlitterbahn, really fun waterpark and huge as hell. http://www.schlitterbahn.com/

If you really want it....

There's that one really tall tower in Vegas, I forgot what its called, but its like the CN tower, just not as big. I think its the stratosphere? I dunno, but it has a roller coaster on top! It also has one of those things that does a free-fall drop. So, it's like a theme park in Vegas, about 500 feet in the air!

If you like racetracks go to Willow Springs International Raceway, one of the oldest tracks in the west. Also drop by irwindale for a saturday night, awesome racing.

If you want somthing that is fun to look at go to the beach, and watch the sunset (you wernt thinking of the girls, were you? :p)

Im in tarzana california, right by the 101, maby you could drop by?

Since you're stopping in Monterey, check out Big Sur. It's south of Monterey.
Sunset and cocktails at Nepenthe's.
Maybe Pfieffer Ridge.

17mile drive, lot's of money lives there.

Pebble Beach golf links, cocktails at the Tap Room.

The Inn at Spanish Bay, sunset and cocktails on the patio at Roy's.

The Aquarium.
May as well go down to Cannery Row.

Laguna Seca.

Aptos, cocktails and dinner at the Cafe Rio.

Santa Cruz, resort town, eat and drink.

Hiway 1 up the coast to Pacifica (just south of SF).

You should at least drive through SF. Since you're there. Lombard Street and whatnot. Lots 'o good eatin'n drinkin'.

Oakland, for a good mugging. (j/k)

Oh yeah, Napa might be nice. Wine tasting.

Infineon Raceway? (Sears Point)

Well, the lady and I leave in one week. I'm getting so excited! We are going to have so much fun.

The only thing I'm worried about, aside from being at the Grand Canyon on Memorial Day, is road construction. In Arkansas we have I-30 and I-40 and they're both under construction from border to border. Along my route do you guys know of any places I need to take old highways? We're going I-40 west to California, then up the coast to Seattle, across I-90 to Lincoln, and back south to Arkansas.
