If my blu ray drive went and tommorow im going to send my ps3 to sony and get a new one under warrently, need my gt5 data, if i copy it to a memory stick then copy it to my new ps3 will it work? im 1011 days in and dont want to lose it :nervous:

Yes. It should be fine as long as you log into the same PSN account.

Sure it will work. Just put the save data from your stick on the new ps3, patch the game to the version your savegame is, and you are good to go. Your Pictures and Replays will be gone though.

You can save your replays on a flash drive individually too so just your pictures will be gone

There has been a update since my Drive went :S

Just let it update to the last version u had then after that has been installed cancel so the new updates dont install..load up your game..save it...then install the rest of the updates

But how do i know what Patch it is? :nervous:

What's the issue with this? When GT5 updated to 2.01, my 2.00 gamesave loaded into it just fine. Every time GT is updated, the gamesave remains the previous version, yet it still loads up just fine.

Just update the game to the current version and your gamesave will still load up.

I Will report back tommorow 👍

I Apologize

Lots of people seem not to know that if you want your savefile to work on another Playstation, you need to make the same inlogname on that Playstation AND you also need to have yourlogin credentials present, because Gran Turismo won't start even with your backupped savefile, you will get the message: this save belongs to another player and cannot be loaded. If you enter your PSN credentials to go online and then load the savefile, it works.
Ive tested this myself with a friends savefile.

Yes you need the same login credentials from the Playstation account the savefile was used in before, else it will not work.
