Good luck fixing the problem, thats the problem with ps3s once you get 1 fault its recurring or gets fixed and another appears.

Ok I am at work, I am going to find out this afternoon, fixing versus buying a new one costs and go from there.
 
Oh man, your PS3 is F:censored: up!? As far as I know Sony was charging $150 for repairs: Blu-Ray, PSU... I don't know about other places, but If it's the drive, just need to change it for a new one, meaning your console is fine, (assuming is working correctly aside from the drive :p) so, I'll send the cars anyway right? I mean, GT5 save is tied to your account, even if there is no choice to buy a new one, you can transfer all your data from one console to the other and GT-Servers backup all the gifts until you receive them, so you'll not lose anything, well, I think it should be that way :p

Anyway IF you see that repair prices are up to $150, check some stores, there are deals going on currently, such as buy a new PS3+ new game for the same price or get a gift card with $50 that you can use to buy games and cool stuff like that đź‘Ť

I am looking at a repair not from sony. I might have to take advantage of some of the xmas deals out there. I hope I have no problem putting my save on the new ps3 if I go that route. I am worried because I got some of my stealths the wrong way and I heard the update limits your account to 2 ps3s.

Ah true that mate,that was before that nonsense was thrown in.:ouch: Apparently Sony don't offer a repair service(here at least) they just replace the machine for free if it's under warranty still.đź‘Ž
 
Warranty is no longer valid as I bought it about 2 years anticipating GT5, playing prologue and shift till the big day.

Yeah, I know about the New Update, I have 2 PS3s, so I'm on the limit, but the good thing is that you can always deactivate a PSN Account in 1 PS3 and enable it in another one, Just Sign in > go to Account Management > System Activation > PS3 System > Choose *Game* > Deactivate System and that's it đź‘Ť then you can delete your PS3 profile IF you want to, then to enable it on another PS3, go to Sign Up Icon (Black Icon the First Time you do it) > choose *Use an Existing Account* > put e-mail adress and Pass and Done đź‘Ť it may ask you to update first though :p

Yeah i got the best customer service from sony when it broke, they paid for a version with more memory, another 3 year warranty and 40 quid extra, i then scammed the muppets at GAME and got 2 more games for almost free lol.
 
Yeah game are good.:P but like crypto said I probably won't be able to use my game save on another PS3 if anything happens to this one cause it's already on two.
