I'd like to say I'm jealous but last year when it got to around 25 Celsius approx everyone was complaining about it being too hot. Although I seem to be used to this heat (by English standards).

It's been roughly 10 C here for the past month or so, that's a heatwave by our winter's standards!

Yeah, same here in Austria. Instead of the normal freezing winter temperatures like -15 Celsius we have like 10 Celsius and more. Today I was shopping in the city wearing just a t-shirt and at same time people in Russia and Siberia literally freeze their asses off at up to -40 Celsius!
What the hell is going on? :scared:

Florida's burgeoning Snow birds can make driving a Hell on Earth.

Can't blame them though, as it is a very warm 80 F here in Tampa.

I remember in Phoenix, AZ, going to get the mail at midnight and it was still 110 degrees F outside. I burned my hand on the railing up to my apartment, at night. The heat there was quite alarming sometimes.

In the city it stays warm longer due to the radiant head from the roads, sidewalks, etc. I remember traveling to my Aunts house outside the city limits, and you could literally feel the temperature drop 10-15 degrees when you broke free of the neighborhoods.

What's the humidity like there? Cause we hit 108-110F on average during the summer and we're used to it. :p
Depends on location, but generally when it gets really hot in the southern part of the country it is pretty low humidity. Here in Canberra, the humidity is always low unless it is raining. When I travel anywhere coastal, I can feel the difference straight away.

Urban Heat Island

Yeah, I, along with half of the valley population, would head to Sedona, Payson, or Flagstaff to cool off. Sedona would be nice, around 90 F when the city was 105 - 115 F. Arizona was awesome like that. Here in Ohio if the weather sucks, it sucks for a several hundred mile radius.

When I went to Egypt a couple of years ago in the start of July, the first three days were 45 Celcius, and Saturday and Sunday went up to 55 Celcius. Unbelievably hot...
