Whether you are useless at GT or not, it can still be an incredibly enjoyable game - many people devote most of their time in the game to areas other than honing their raw speed... there's Photomode (see our galleries!), endurance racing, "A-Spec" optimising (making races are hard as possible for yourself), "B-Spec" mode (making races as easy as possible for yourself), "Smallhorses" mode (specialising in cars with low horse power, as our moderator Smallhorses does, hence the name!), drifting and tuning (see our forums on those!), car collecting (ask my mate Tim about that!), LAN-ing (see the Local Gatherings section in the Rumble Strip) and just plain driving pleasure (which every GT player enjoys from time to time) - and plenty more besides...
The point of the game need not be being any good at it, but simply enjoying it. OK, there is also the small matter of waiting for the next installment, which unfortunately we are all experts at
Seriously though, the whole rubbish-at-Gran-Turismo thing is pretty much a non-issue. This is such a comfy little website that I'd say at least 40% of the regular posters in the off-topic areas stopped seriously playing GT about 4 years ago. I know I did. But anyway welcome and all that
