HELP! cant change views!

Been an avid reader of Gt planet for some time but never had any cause to need to sign up. Went on Gt5 today for the first time in like a month? Downloaded 2.02 or whatever number it was an started playing. everything was normal i changed the wheels on a standard car just because i could and then went into practice. quickly realised i was stuck on one view, the front bumper one where you cant see the car. that sucked majorly. tryed rebooting the game. then thought it might be my select button that broke so changed the config so triangle was change view and still nothing. but also weirdly i had changed select to reverse. and even that didnt work? :S so maby the game is broken/glitched AND my select button doesnt work. sorry if this isnt in the right place (if its not can a mod please move it) but i am desperate to get it working and need a swift reply if possible. the reason being my missus is about to but me a g27 and if my game is permanently broken then i dont want her to waste money on a wheel :P thanks in advance and sory if its in the wrong place!! =]
 
i think the controller is bust because select is still not working even for reverse, but ive rebooted a few times now and triangle is doing the job. seems to have just been a glitch. duno if its been encounterd before or not but its definatly a weird one. might be because i havent played in so long and received multiple updates at once or something silly like that. also have another question wich is, i just saw a video of some guy drifting a blue golf round some indoor track but he didnt say where it was, and someone asked how he was on it when not karting so im asuming it was a kart track but never seen it before :S
 
The indoor karting track is from the october dlc and normal cars can be used on it. Normally you can't run karts and regular cars but somehow there is a glitch in online lobbies where people run karts and normal cars on the same track.
 
o0o niceee!! didnt know there was DLC!! better be free after paying full price for the game only to find nearly NONE of my favorite cars were premium :P nahh just kidding but i am not paying for new content thats a piss take :P unless its like a new car pack or summit

That was before. The track was patched and everyone can race normal cars there.

I suggest you check the GTPlanet news, you'll find all info regarding the DLC's there. 👍
 
maybe the select function is completely dead in your controller, try a new one 👍
 
nah if its dead i will just keep using triangle. i am not buying a new controller at those rip off prices :P i prefer to spend money on my car irl >.< but yeah im fairly sure its dead but duno why it seems to press in and click or whatever fine. ill take it appart myself and have a look later. thanks for all the help guys. this forum has helped me tons in the past before i joined up :P
