Help... car got stuck at 50 mph during 'Ring enduro lap

I was on my tenth lap of the Nurburgring 24 hour enduro and had lapped the whole field. I pit after lap 4, 7 and was going to pit at the end of lap 10. However, about 1/3 of the way through the lap, my car suddenly would not go over 50 mph, no matter what I did. After an eternity, I finished the lap and pitted. When I left the pits, everything seemed OK. I quit the game after that. The car is the Minolta Toyota sports racer. Was I out of gas or something? On previous pit stops, I always chose "fuel: yes". Any ideas what happened?

when u run out of fuel, you can't go above 50 or 60mph, so yes u ran out, now even when u select yes for fuel, if u click X while it's filling, it will stop, this allows u to keep the tank below half to save weight, u probably clicked it accidentally.

Our generation more than ever seems so confident in itself that it seems no one ever reads instructions. Like all of this basic re-fuel and options menu questions are all answered right there. I'm beginning to understand why the forum seniors get so testy when so many new and different people keep asking the same questions over and over again, obviously never having even tried to answer the question themselves.

Some time when you need to drop the kids off at the pool, grab the instructions have a seat and a grunt and read 'em over. Some of you folks will be amazed at how many of these simple questions are answered in there. Or as it's been said a hundred times before, in the first few postings of the GT4 board.

Does running on a nearly empty tank really reduce the weight of the car in the game, or doesn't it make a difference?? That's what I am wondering for a while already. I did run my best laps on an almost empty tank, but that was probably also because I was getting into the race more and more trying to break my own lap times. :D

WHY? WHY post something like this? He made the post, and someone answered, so obviously it isn't as big a problem as you make it out to be.

Damned drama queens :dunce:
