I'm planing to upgrade my G27 (It's time+ I have a PS4). The wheel served me well, being the first wheel I could use pedals with (I'm quadriplegic and I guess my legs are picky :D) and even straighten my feet (I couldn't even move my left foot independently)
I did a break in simracing because of University and at the time F1 league racing in my country kinda died.
Since I played Gt6 to unlock Senna and GT:A content I noticed that I get tired more quickly (In other words I'm out of shape :D). Logical thought process made me decide to upgrade and try iRacing (I was mainly racing rfactor).

And here goes the fun part
My first choice was :
T300Rs (solid wheel and has all the compatibility I need).
F1 Ferrari add-on would be perfect as I' am F1 fan and never tried that kind of rim.
Shifter would be a plus.
Looking at the pedals and knowing my leg situation I think I need t3pa-pro.
All of that would cost me about 850euros + shipping.

Problem is Thrustmaster shop does not support my country and European amazon does not have Pro products listed. Importing them from USA would mess up the warranty and complicate shipping.

Second choice to go Fanatec:
Clubsport v2
BMW rim +F1 rim
Clubsport v3 pedals
would skip shifter for saving purposes
All of that would cost me 1750 euros + shipping.

Third choice would be mixing fanatec with thrustmaster but that would make compatibility questionable.

Is fanatec really worth the price jump (I hate that I can't try any of them)?

You could go for the CSR elite pedals instead and "only" the F1 rim. That would be €1179.

It's kind of a question of value and not the price.
In my twisted mind by buying High-end wheel base (by consumer standards, I know there are better ones) It's almost a must to compliment it with high end pedals.

The question is more in price jump being equal to quality/value jump.

In a way like some people who buy golden HDMI cables, Macs etc (It's nothing wrong with buying them but the reasoning in doing so changes)

Since you stated in your post that you wanted to save money (shifter) and was talking prices I was assuming that you wanted the best bang for your buck. Not the best money can buy. It's all about balance. The CSR elite is really good compared to the G27. We are not talking about monster cables here. There is a significant difference between the G27 any any belt driven wheel. Some like the T300 better and some like the CSW. And if I could buy things with a balanced budget I would go for this:

Clubsport v2
BMW rim +F1 rim
CSR Elite pedals
This shifter
A cockpit of some kind.

The driving ergonomics mean as much as the hardware it self.
I have limited space and I use a CSR wheel and the CSR Elite pedals on a Playseat Challenge (not available anymore).
The playseat can't really use any bigger, heavier wheels but I've seen people use the T500 on one.

But another cockpit should work for you. Check the hardware tread

Thing is that if you can't afford a cockpit and go for the CSW v3 pedals instead you miss a large part of the immersion and the ability to use the gear you have. The pedals and the wheel needs a hard mount.

But if you have the budget I would go for the example you choose + cockpit.
It's worth it.

PS: I've "only" used the CSW v1 and the Clubsport v2 but still like them. Finally, you can't get the trustmaster, so the only option is the fanatec range.

Since I'm not a typical user there is some fear If I will be able to use it (because as I said until g27 other wheels did not fit me so good). So It's more of a risk in buying without trying and Fanatec being more expensive is the bigger one (But if it is that much better the risk would be justifiable).

I'm not used to racing with H-shifter (because g27 was easy to miss-shift racing high speeds) so it would be more like a training exercise and novelty (in doing more stuff at the same time + using the clutch).

For a cockpit I use a self made wooden frame (where everything is mounted) it's pretty sturdy, while its not as beautiful as pre-made cockpits I can use it under my PC table and in front of my TV. It's just a front part and I use it with my PC chair, but it takes less space and is easier to move around.

I think that if I wont find a way way to get Thrustmaster pedals (maybe trough relatives), until Clubsport v3 is out I'm gonna go with Fanatec or nothing an all because g29 announcement kind of pissed me off .

The strange thing is that when I was thinking of getting my drivers license, I tried (could only try automatic at the time) driving in a parking lot, to check if I'm comfortable while doing so, and driving a real car was easier then G27 (physically). So that got me thinking that maybe load cell would be similar (I never tried any pedals that are using it but all the reviews are saying that its more realistic).

If not for all of my limitations I would not be thinking so much about it.

I'm a bit confused with the quadriplegic thing, as it reads as if you have partial mobility, and only specifically mentioned your legs as being an issue. A bit more detail would be great, just to ensure that you will get the right advice here.

All my limbs are effected, in different degrees that being said I only improved since birth so I get by.

Strange thing with simracing is that it helped me substantially

I cant fully extend my left elbow and rotation in It's wrist is limited. Also I can't fully bend my knees and of course feet are not ideal. Right hand you can say is normal but it tends to work in "Hulk mode" :D

With my first cheap Trust wheel I could not use the pedals (I think they where too flat) So I raced using paddles as brake/accelerator. After that wheel died I wanted to get DFGT but it was unavailable in my country so I got G25.

For the heck of it I tried the pedals (before putting them away) and I noticed that I can slightly press the brake with my left foot and almost fully use the accelerator.
In the leagues I raced using padless but all my testing was done using my Right foot. After a while I switched to manual shifting even while racing. Then when gt5 came, I hated sudden lift overstear / snapping, in some cars, so I started using left foot braking. After a while I noticed that I can fully press the pedal so I started using Left foot braking all the time.

I raced all the time, even my G25 pedals started spiking really bad month before it's warranty expired (so Logitech shipped me G27)

Overall I noticed that my legs got stronger and my left hand fingers got faster ( All thanks to f1 downshifting). Its not perfect but it's better.

I tried driving a Kart (before I started using left foot braking) and got disappointed in myself because I could not fully press the breaks.

Last year I came over myself, tried driving a car in a parking lot and was surprised that it was easier for me then racing with g27.

I guess It's easier for me when you can use less degrees in your foot , but more force (that way I can use force from my whole leg?).

At first I thought that g25 price was too steep but after all that I was happy that I bought it.

As i said Leagues in my country died and then exams piled up in university, now 2 years passed since I graduated, but I guess I abandoned simracing.

Once In a while I fire up Gt6 but I noticed my legs are getting tired after a half an hour of hotlaping (while in my "prime" I could finish 6 hour endurance races in one sitting) and that got me sad so I decided to dedicate more of my time to simracing again.

G27 pedals are starting to get "sticky" and the compatibility issues made me think about an upgrade.

iRacing 1 year subscription on steam has 75% off so I decided to try it (always hated the fact that you pay a subscription but also have to buy content separately), because I read it's perfect for online racing (in rfactor we had to organize everything ourself).

Was planning to test it with a new wheel but Trustmaster decided not to sell me pedals so I guess I will do it with G27 for now.

This post got quite long but i hope it will give you a better picture.

The load cell on the fanatec pedals (CSP & CSR Elite) is all about pressure and not movement. I think my CSR Elites moves about 2-3cm, but you use the leg muscles for the real braking just holding the foot on the brake. That's the advantages.

Thing is you can buy the load cell pedals separately and use them with any PC sim that supports dual controllers. They can connect via USB.
On the PS4 you have to get another wheel for the compatibility. There is a fanatec to trustmaster converter that someone here on gtplanet sells, but it's hard to get since he is doing it on his spare time.

Ah, there's one thing in particular that is very helpful to know......
I guess It's easier for me when you can use less degrees in your foot , but more force (that way I can use force from my whole leg?).

With Fanatec pedals (CSR Elite, Clubsport V1, V2, and V3) it is possible to adjust the travel length and stiffness. Also, with the brake, it is possible to set the sensitivity of the load cell. You would be able to have short travel and firm, or short travel and soft. The other thing I'm wondering about is if having them hung GT style would help, as that is probably how the real car's pedals would have been. CSR Elites can be inverted without modification. It would mean that your foot would be less likely to need to straighten so much.

The only thing left is compatibility. it would be more reassuring if they would just release PS4 hub (with the missing buttons etc). Of course on PS4 my main game will be gt7 but as of now Driveclub has not added support (and they are first party studio)

Does logitech adapter comes in the package ? I would order everything now except the pedals. (and use my g27 ones until august).

Funny thing about me is that every time I review my options (when I'm trying to choose something) I always end up going for higher end stuff because I don't like the "What if" feeling so sometimes my logical side of the brain says "just do it and save yourself time".

I'm thinking of using this adapter before v3 pedals come out:
http://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/pedals-accessories/g2...bel-for-fanatec-wheels-eu.html
The confusing part is that in the csw page it says "G25/G27 pedals (with optional adapter)", but csw is not listed in the adapter page.
