Help for Aspec Expert - Cars?

Hi all.

Am now level 22 and am trying to complete Expert level but have ran into an issue. I cannot get a suitable car for the Historic Racing Car Cup. Have tried the countach and a few other without success. Tuned to the max and still no joy.

As the requirement is 79 or earlier, i cannot even seem to find a car to buy that is competitive as they are all race cars. Am having same prob to a lesse extent with the all stars comp. Am using a Veyron and can win a couple of races but its damm hard against more agile race cars!

Can anyone give some advice who has already completed these events as to what cars to get?

I did it with a Camaro Z28 RM '69, buy the Camaro Z28 '69 fully Race Mod it, then buy every upgrade you can, including the soft racing tires. Its not super easy, watch out for the Toyota 7 Race car. Make sure you get in the lead asap, and drive clean lines as much as possible.
 
At thi stage am not prepared to go all that way in B spec just to get an equivalent car and nor should I have to IMO

thanks. it worked!

u were right about that toyota race car. deep forest was hard but cote d'azur was easier as its tight around.

Great stuff:tup: There was just no way I was gonna buy a 20.000.000cr "Historic race car" for this.

That Toyota made me sweat in some races, coming very close in the end. That car is just damn quick in the corners. :nervous:

youll need a zonda r atleast to win allstar and like the wind... you can get that after winning professional gt championship in bspec... if you dont want to do bspec then im afraid youll have to splash alot of cash on a race car...
 
Win the Furai (bspec miata race, pretty easy)

Tuned all the way, you should be able to win 'like the wind' whereupon you get the Toyota Minolta which is just about the fastest thing this side of an F1 car. Use that to cream the competition.
 
Just completed the Like the Wind this morning and got my Toyota 7 racecar! I managed Gold with the Ferrari P4, its £20m though so you might be better in B Spec.

It can be won though, you need to get to the front very quickly, some dodgy driving helps in the first corner. Just go full speed and use hitting a car to slow you down, hopefully you come out in front and a bit of defensive driving will keep you there
