Help getting a specific car

I really want the Toyota 7 RC '70 and have saved up nearly 5 million Cr so that if it shows up i can buy it but I've never seen it in the UDC before and i can't get it through trading anymore cus of the 1.07 patch

What would you do in my situation to get around this? There has to be a way.
The only way i can think of is to keep getting 1970 tickets and hope it shows up (about 8% chance with each ticket), but is there an easier way?

Thanks GTV, do you perhaps know of a quicker way maybe involving the marketplace or something?

I don't really do much b-spec and i basically would have to get to extreme series which would take ages. i do a-spec and seasonals mostly.

Not really. For one thing its B-Spec extreme. So it'll be longer & tougher than just doing it with the tickets. Secondly, i used to know which were prize cars when i used to play solidly on launch but havent played properly in nearly a year and nobody can remember info for 1200+ cars or however many it is

ye wat i wanted to do was have one so i can lend between my different accounts whenever i do the historic race. tis easier than asking to borrow one each time. besides its really the only car left i need i have most on my first acct.

lol i actually did the math on it and as it happens there are only 14 or so cars in 1970 but 30 at lvl23 haha im sad ;)

Get Pagani Zonda R '09 -> Fully upgrade it with Racing Soft and everything else -> Win A-Spec (Like The Wind), prize car: Minolta -> then Go at B-Spec (Like The Wind), prize car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70 -> Enter Historic Championship -> beat everyone 👍

oooh i was looking at that recently a nice way to spend 2.6m thats for sure lol.
i actually already have the MINOLTA on my main account so could borrow it but on my current account i've not done any b-spec so I can't just jump straight into like the wind unfortunately. and on my main account i've done a little but not much and nowhere near like the wind.

a good plan nonetheless :)
 
I had a 1970 ticket last night to get a Chap 2J. It took me 7 times to get it, but I received the Toyota 7 twice in between. It's not bad but your mileage may vary of course.

thanks, it seems theres always a car that makes these races not too challenging and i need one for the historic race. if not the Toyota 7 what would you recommend. I cannot use sauber c9 or bmw v12 cus they aren't classics.
i have the ford mark IV but its not good enough.

basically i open a new account play the a-spec through then repeat, collecting tickets & paints along the way. i only have my high-end race cars because it was back before the 1.07 patch and i traded up. i also have the 787b but the only one i have before 1970 is the Ford mark IV.

The power-to-weight ratio of the '70 Toyota looks incredible plus its one of the few I've never tried as well.

Getting your B-spec to lvl 21 can be done in no time if you have a Chapparral 2J or have a friend lend it to you.

Enter the 650 PP Tokyo R246 race in the B-spec seasonal.
A level 0 BOB will win easily with a stock 2J, even against a McLaren F1 GTR.
Just keep him out of the red (@ 60-75%) Use "reduce tempo" when catching and passing opponents.
Don't worry if the leaders gets away at the beginning as they soon cool down and start cruising around.

You'll be level 21 in no time.

Yes, but I did that shortly after GT5 was out. In December or something. Now the easiest way would be to pick a LMP car from the OCD 👍

The Chaparral 2J is better than the Toyota 7 when it comes to corners though, like at Cote D'Azur.

I used to have that one as well. Not any more though. I havent seen it in ucd either, is it a prize car also?

I used the Countach to win the Historic Cup. You can't make mistakes and it's a white knuckler the whole time but it's doable...I don't think you need the Toyota 7. The Toyota is great for the Bspec Historic Cup, especially at Cote.

I also used the Countach to win the Historic Cup Event. Your right you can't make a mistake and it is a white knuckler the whole time. Like GTVirtuoso said it is doable and makes for a real challenge.
 
ye thanks guys, i mean dont get me wrong i like a challenge and i have eligible cars like the Miura '67 but when i'm going to be doing it again and again on diff accts for the lvl tickets sometimes you just wanna do it & move on. im not a great racer tbh i could never complete the NASCAR event or even the SambaBus special event! lol (although one time i came pretty close with the Sambabuses)

I have a car for pretty much every race up to endurance series, which i don't bother with myself. in GT4 the endurance races were my favourite but for some reason i dont like em anymore.

i checked my main acct today and i'm lvl13 b-spec so it probably wouldnt take too long to get to the Like The Wind race, im just not a big fan of b-spec thats all.

am i right in thinking then that if somethings a prize car it does not show in the UCD at all ever?

The 7 at Cote in BSpec is a almost impossible to win situation if the AI has a 2J. So better get a 2J for that.
