Hi,

I've been playing since the game was released in november, but been playing with all of the assists on.

I started by turning off the driving line, then slowly turned off the ASM, and I've got one more to turn off, but the minute I do I skid out, I have to accelerate, brake to stop myself spinning, accelerate some more brake, lol you get the picture.

How can I turn this feature off (no assists at all) but still maintain control??

any tips??

I do pretty well with racing hard, anything else is total spinout!

Cheers

You haven't mentioned whether this problem is with a specific car or all cars in general, is this with tuned cars, standard cars, race cars, also what driving aid are you still using..??

I don't use the driving aids so I turned them all off at the start of the game and can't remember what they all are and what they all do.

As I just mentioned in anther thread you have to learn and educate yourself about driving a car, fast around a track, and what car control is. There are differences between the different types of car and how this affects what you need to do to keep the car on the road and drive fast.

It's difficult to give specific advice because I don't know whether you have a specific problem or a general problem..?

Different things could be a factor like what tyres you are using, throttle control, what car it is etc.

My advice would be to gradually reduce it, say from 5, to 3, to 1 then off, leave skid recovery on, then take it off and see. TCS of 1 without recovery may work for you, just fiddle around for the settings to best suit you.

"and I've got one more to turn off"

First thing i would do is mention which assist it is exactly.. (i guess its the skidd recovery.)

My tip: be gentle; all these assist made it possible for you to slam on the gas. What you need to do is be calm gentle and precise with your brake, steering and throttle inputs. To practice this start in a slow, low HP car, and build up from there onto cars with more HP. This way you slowly get used to all that power that you need to control..

EDIT; then maybe one day youll become a real driver and start drifting! (just kidding for the people who was ready to start flamin away!)

its the Skid Recovery Force.

I've got Driving Line off, ABS to 1 and ASM off.

and the cars are all different, if theres a car thats easier to learn in then do let me know, although I guess that the harder the car is to master the more I'm going to learn??

I'm practicing on the Fuji course, theres lots of nice corners that are good for practicing on.
