As per title, I cant post anything! I have activated my account already and when I click the activation link again just incase it failed first time I get

Your account has already been activated so please try logging in.

Any idea??

strange! any idea why I was caught in the spam filter? And every time I try to quote someone it says

Thank you for submitting a new thread, the thread has been submitted to a mod for review and will be available once checked

or something like that! The weirdest part is that I wasn't even creating a new thread! Just trying to reply to someone. I can post in the quick reply bit fine now, but the advanced reply section give me the above message...
 
whoops! sorry about that! I was just trying it every-so-often to see if it had been sorted. I thought the ones that didnt show due to the spam filter just wouldn't show up at all, hence me trying several times. Can you please delete those duplicated posts? cos I cant.

Happened to me too.

Found it quite odd that I post something and it disappears as soon as I leave that page.

Thought April Fools came early.
 
There seems to be a lot of "I can't post" threads popping up here. Mabey there should be a sticky thread about this problem? It would end a lot of the stress of having 400 new threads saying "Why can't I post!!??!??!?!."
 
That would be good if people read the stickies... more often than not, people just open a new thread asking their question rather than search... or actually look at other threads.

There is a message that pops up explaining that their post needs to be approved and won't appear until a mod does this. What more can we do if people don't read?

The benefits of having zero ads/spam/porn threads getting through far outweighs the issues of some members being caught in it.
 
i'm still unable to post pm's?? i don't understand the problem? i get the messages sayin account not approved or not enough priviliges etc. but i have been a member for a few weeks and only recently tried to use the features and noticed i was unable to. is this because i have not used the site enough so far? or because a premium needs to be paid? or has my account been blocked for some bizare reason? is there no way to view the status of your account through the control panel in "my gtp". also my gtp is not easy to navigate compared to other forums i am a member of. i took me a few minutes to find a way to resend the activation email, should there not be a sort of control panel in there for this sort of stuff? can i expect to be able to send pm's any time soon as i'm dying to join the WRS :D

Everyone's unable to post PM's, unless you copy/paste them onto your posts.

Plus, you're still unable to edit posts, lots of members have gained that privilege a long time ago. Takes patience...

You most likely need to activate your account using the link sent to you by GTP's mailer when you registered.

New accounts are unable to post new threads until their first thread is approved by a moderator, but you should be able to reply to existing threads if your account has been properly activated.

Perhaps we could have an alarm that goes off every time someone wants their post approved. We could set it so it wakes us up whilst we are sleeping, when we're at work, or just doing not very important things such as having a life.
 
Yeah, sorry for going out this afternoon. Won't happen again. I've chained myself to my PC now. 👍
 
Yeah, you mods and your real lifes outside of GTP... Pfft.
