Right i checked out the prize car list on gtplanet.net and from what i could work out the best polyphony001 could be won either by getting all the golds in the professional series. winning the f1 gt championship series. or by doing the laguna seca enduro.

since i didn't want to do the vitz race and i get too frustrated doing the f1 series, i decided to do the laguna enduro. 2 hours later, it awards me a car. it seemed strange that it only chose a random one out of three. one looked like the lexus, the other was a skyline and the third was a polyphony, but 002!!! :(

the 002 has 789 bhp which is even different from the 002 on the prize cars list on gtplanet.net...

is the UK version prize car list different? clearly it is, does anyone know where i could find the 926HP polyphony 001????

my first poly was after doing the superspeedway enduro, i don't know how much hp it had originally but after 2500km, about 1500 miles, it has 813 and is worth 875,000... which is also different to the one on this website.

help would be very much appreciated!!

Polyphony 001 - 790hp "as won", 829hp after oil change. Peak after run-out phase is 813hp.
Garage value: 875,000cr.
Win at: Professional/Dream Car, Professional/Formula GT, Professional/PD Cup, Endurance/Tokyo, Endurance/Super Speedway, Endurance/Grand Valley, Endurance/Trial Mountain, 100.0% completion.

Polyphony 002 - 789hp "as won", 829hp after oil change, peak after run-out phase is 813hp.
Garage value: 300,000cr
Win at: Professional/Formula GT, Professional/100%, Endurance/SSR11, Endurance/Seattle, Endurance/Laguna Seca, Endurance/Rome, Endurance/Roadster, Endurance/Mistral, Endurance/100%, GT Mode/100%.

That's it - that's all we get.

the BEST F1 is the Poly 001 or F094/S, you can win it off the Polyphony Cup in Professional. Only thing is its all stock cars with lots of races and lots of laps. If you have a gameshark or sumtin like it, use the "max series points" cheat, and do the save game before last race trick, and keep trying for the Poly 001.

All I can say is be a little patient, and you'll get it.

thats all we get????? :irked: hmmmm well thanks for that famine otherwise i would have been running enduros day and night! :P

my polyphony 001 is totally black besides a couple of adverts here and there... not that it really makes that much difference.

so since we don't get the 900hp+ f1 cars i can't really go for the top laguna seca times (i.e. sub 57 seconds etc). i hit a 1:03:2xx in my enduro, but i reckon i could shave that down to 59:xxx if i tried hard...

besides these and the diablo, are there any other cars the UK version doesn't get that others do?

The 900hp+ F1 cars are only useful for Super Speedway and Test Course runs. All the other fastest F1 runs are done in the F094/S and Polyphony 001, which are essentially the same car (slight bodywork difference, nothing else).

And my own P001 lap record is 57s... :D

PAL only cars: Polyphony 001, Polyphony 002.

NTSC Only cars: Lamborghini Nomad Diablo JGTC (hidden, but standard in Japanese version), Lancia Stratos (hidden), Alitalia Stratos RC (hidden), Porsche 996 911 GT3 (hidden), F094/S, F094/H, F090/S, F688/S, F687/S, F686/M.

The last hidden car is the Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R Mspec. This can be driven in either version.

Oh, Diablo, Stratos and those other cars are not in the PAL version? I didn't know that. How is the Japanese version different? I know someone that's playing the Japanese version (since it's been out), but he refuses to start any races without getting all gold in all the licenses (He's about half way through S).

The Japanese version is different in that it's in Japanese... :D

You can also WIN the Diablo JGTC in one of the Enduros, in place of the Pagani Zonda Race Car - and indeed drive it in the Professional "Italian Avante Garde" series - in the Japanese version.

The car was taken out of the game between Japanese and US releases, as Lamborghini complained they didn't have permission to use the car - they had secured permission only from the specific car's owner.

Between US and PAL releases all the other cars were removed totally from the programme. If you have PAL, they're not on your disc.

And that's relevant how?

We're discussing the Polyphony 001 and Polyphony 002. We can't get the F094/S or F090/S.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I always thought they're on the PAL version or something. In that case, I should bug the Japanese version guy to get moving on the game.

thanks 4 all the info

right i ran close to what i would call a perfect lap of laguna, and i managed 1:02:939, i know that with a few more hours i could shave that down to 1:00:xxx but not much further. i need better setup for my 001, does anyone have anything decent? (i will also post this request in the setups forum)

You could check GT3 Vault (www.gtvault.com), in the F094/S section for settings for Laguna. But I doubt there will be any. I know i got under the 1 minute, but that must of been a year ago or so. Don't have the settings anymore. :(
